Cardiff Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club based in Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. The club was founded in 1876 and played their first few matches at Sophia Gardens, shortly after which relocating to Cardiff Arms Park where they have been based ever since.

Gareth John Roberts is a former international Wales rugby union player. He was in the Wales squad for the 1987 Rugby World Cup, scoring two tries. Roberts enjoyed a long first class rugby career representing Swansea, Cardiff and Llanelli. Roberts was born in Pontlliw in 1959 and educated at Pontlliw Primary and Gowerton Grammar and Comprehensive Schools. After playing Youth rugby at Pontarddulais RFC and gaining a record number of Welsh Caps at age group level he joined Swansea for whom he played 191 times scoring 61 tries and in 1984 moved to the Arms Park making 166 appearances for the Blue and Blacks in two spells with the club scoring 43 tries. He also played for a season at Llanelli RFC scoring 8 tries. At senior level he won 4 Welsh 'B' caps and selection for the senior team followed. He was named as a replacement 12 times before winning his first senior cap against France and he also represented the Barbarians.
Arwel Camber Thomas is a native of Trebanos in Swansea Valley. He is a former Wales international rugby union player. An outside-half, he played his club rugby for Swansea RFC and Neath RFC.
Tumble RFC or Clwb Rygbi Y Tymbl (Welsh) is a rugby union club representing the village of Tumble, near Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, South Wales. The club is a member of the Welsh Rugby Union and is a feeder club for the Llanelli Scarlets.

Rhys Webb is a Welsh rugby union player who plays as a scrum-half for Ospreys. Born in Bridgend, he is a product of the Ospreys academy and played club rugby for Bridgend RFC and Aberavon RFC before breaking into the regional side in 2008. He played for the Ospreys for 10 years before moving to French club Toulon in 2018, but terminated his contract with them in 2020 and agreed a return to the Ospreys; however, he was unable to join the Ospreys immediately and signed for Bath for the remainder of the 2019–20 season before returning to the Ospreys.
Benjamin Beynon was a Welsh international rugby union fly-half who played club rugby for Swansea, and would later play professional rugby league for Oldham RLFC. Beynon was also an association footballer for Swansea Town.
Robert McCusker is a Welsh former rugby union player, who played across the back row. McCusker began his career with the Scarlets, and also played for London Irish and the Ospreys before retiring. McCusker also played internationally for Wales.
Willie Davies was a Welsh international dual-code rugby fly half who played rugby union for Swansea and rugby league for Bradford Northern. He won six caps for the Wales rugby union team and nine caps for the Wales rugby league team. In 2003 he was inducted into the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame. He was the cousin of Wales international Haydn Tanner.

James "Jim" Davies was a Welsh rugby union, and professional rugby league footballer nicknamed "The Dancing Master" who played in the 1900s, 1910s and 1920s, and coached rugby league in the 1920s. He played club level rugby union (RU) for Swansea RFC, and representative level rugby league (RL) for Great Britain, Wales and Yorkshire, and at club level for Huddersfield, as a stand-off, or scrum-half, i.e. number 6, or 7, and coached at club level for Keighley.
Gareth Davies is a Wales international rugby union player currently playing for the Scarlets. His position is scrum-half. He is a fluent Welsh speaker. Gareth was selected for the 2021 Tour of South Africa for the British and Irish lions, making four appearances and scoring one try.

Tomos Williams is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for Cardiff Rugby as a scrum half. He is a Wales international, and played for the Wales sevens team during the 2013–14 IRB Sevens World Series.
Megan Davies is a Welsh Rugby Union player who plays scrum half for the Wales women's national rugby union team and Bristol Bears. She made her debut for the Wales national squad in 2021, representing the team at the 2021 Women's Six Nations Championship.
