Angrej Ali (born Angrez Ali Khan)[ citation needed ] is a Punjabi record producer, musician and singer-songwriter. His 2008 album, Ik Din, was produced by Aman Hayer. His 5 Duo Collaboration with Aman Hayer & Jeeti are Groundshaker in 2005, Groundshaker 2 in 2008, Pure Platinum in 2010, Jukebox in 2010 & The Entourage in 2011.

Angrej Ali performed at the annual Mehfil Mela Festival on 3 September 2006, in Brampton, [1] and was among those artists honored at the commemoration festivity marking the 109th birthday of late Justice Gurnam Singh in February 2008. [2]

Gurnam Singh

Gurnam Singh was an Indian politician and the Chief Minister of Punjab from 8 March 1967 to 25 November 1967, and again between 17 February 1969 to 27 March 1970. He was the first Shiromani Akali Dal Chief minister of Punjab. His ministry fell due to defection of Lachhman Singh Gill, who became the next Chief Minister with the support of the Indian National Congress. He died in an air crash in Delhi on 31 May 1973.

Edinburgh Mela

The Edinburgh Mela is an annual multi-cultural festival held in Edinburgh, Scotland, and is one of the 12 festivals that make up the Edinburgh Festival. Angrej (transl. Englishman) is a 2015 Indian Punjabi-language historical romance film directed by Simerjit Singh. Set against the backdrop of the waning British Raj, the film chronicles the love story of a young man and a woman, played by Amrinder Gill and Sargun Mehta respectively, belonging to different social strata. Angrej has Aditi Sharma, Ammy Virk, Binnu Dhillon, Anita Devgan, Sardar Sohi, and Nirmal Rishi in supporting roles; it marked the feature film debut for Mehta and Virk.
