Sukshinder Shinda (born Sukshinder Singh Bhullar) is a British Punjabi playback singer-songwriter and bhangra record producer from Handsworth in Birmingham, England. He hails from Village Dhamai, District Hoshiarpur, Punjab in India.

Since releasing his first professional recording in 1993, Dhol Beat Ek, Shinda has produced or collaborated on more than 200 albums, including all of Jazzy B's releases and the majority of Amrinder Gill's.

Awards

In 2006, Sukshinder Shinda won two awards at the UK Asian Music Awards (UKAMA), "Best Album" and "Best Video". [1] In 2008, he won another two awards at the UK Asian Music Awards, "Best Act" and "Best Album" for Living the Dream. [2] In 2010, he won "Best Producer" at the UKAMA. [3] He also won "Best Producer" at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards (BAMA), where he also won "Best Video" for "Ghum Sum". [4] In 2011 he was nominated for Best Album (for Jadoo), Best Producer, Best Male Act and Best Desi Act [5] and ended up winning only Best Producer. [6] In 2012 he won "Best Dressed Act" at the BAMA. [7]

RDB is a band initially formed in 1997 by three British Indian brothers, Kuldeep, Surjeet and Manjeet Singh Ral. The band's style blends western genres with traditional Punjabi beats and vocals. After the death of the eldest brother Kuldeep in 2012 and the departure of Manjeet to start a solo career, RDB has continued with the brother Surjeet.

DCS are a British Asian live Bhangra band formed in 1983. They are seen as one of the first bands of the UK Bhangra scene along with other bands such as Alaap, Apna Sangeet, Heera, Shava Shava led by Nirmal Kumar Nirmal and many more. As well as Bhangra, DCS also perform in Hindi and English.

Panjabi Hit Squad are British DJs, producers and radio broadcasters for BBC Asian Network and formerly BBC 1Xtra. The group recorded several albums, including Desi Beats Vol 1 with Def Jam.
