Aniket Lad[1] (born 2 June 1996) is an Indian actor known for his work in Marathi television, commercial advertising, and film. He gained recognition for his role in the Marathi television series Lagira Zhala Ji and later for his performance in the film Deshkari,[2] for which he received critical acclaim.
Aniket Lad was born in Patan, Satara, Maharashtra, to Ramesh Lad, a retired professor of economics, and Bharati Lad, a homemaker. He has one sister, Mrunal Lad, who is an advocate.
He completed his graduation in physics and developed an interest in acting during his college years. Aniket participated in youth festival theater competitions and went on to perform in commercial plays, which marked the beginning of his career in the performing arts.
Career
Aniket made his television debut in 2017 with the Marathi daily soapLagira Zhala Ji, which aired on Zee Marathi.[3] While still in college, he began receiving recognition for his onscreen presence, which led to opportunities in advertising. He appeared in commercials for Hyundai and Reliance Jewels[4] in 2019.
In 2023, Aniket starred in the Marathi film Deshkari. His performance was praised by critics, and he was honored with the Filmfare OTT Award for his work in the film.
