The Filmfare Awards are annual awards that honour artistic and technical excellence in the Hindi-language film industry of India. The Filmfare ceremony is one of the most famous film events in India. The awards were introduced by Filmfare magazine of The Times Group in 1954, the same year as the National Film Awards. They were initially referred to as the "Clare Awards" or "The Clares" after Clare Mendonça, the editor of The Times of India and modelled after the Academy Awards.

Paatal Lok (transl. Netherworld) is an Indian Hindi-language crime thriller television series on Amazon Prime Video, created by Sudip Sharma, who wrote the script along with Sagar Haveli, Hardik Mehta and Gunjit Chopra, and directed by Avinash Arun and Prosit Roy. The series was produced by Anushka Sharma, under the banner Clean Slate Filmz, and stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Gul Panag, Neeraj Kabi, Swastika Mukherjee, Ishwak Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Niharika Lyra Dutt, and Richa Chaturvedi. Loosely based on Tarun Tejpal's 2010 novel The Story of My Assassins, the series is about a disillusioned cop who lands the case of an assassination attempt gone wrong.
Ishwak Singh(born 18 November 1989) is an Indian actor who primarily works in Hindi-language television series. Following small roles in several films, he became known for starring in the series Paatal Lok (2020) and Rocket Boys (2022–2023), receiving nominations for the Filmfare OTT Awards. He has since starred in the horror series Adhura and the second season of Made in Heaven, both in 2023.

2020 Filmfare OTT Awards, the first edition of OTT awards were held on 19 December 2020 in Mumbai and it included the films and web series released between August 1, 2019 and July 31 2020. These awards honour artistic and technical excellence in original programming on over-the-top streaming media in Hindi-language. Nominations were announced by Filmfare on 16 December 2020.
2022 Filmfare OTT Awards, the third edition of awards were presented to honour artistic and technical excellence in original programming on over-the-top streaming media in Hindi-language. Web original shows or films released across OTT platforms between 1 August 2021 and 31 July 2022 were eligible for Awards. Nominations were announced by Filmfare on 14 December 2022. Hosted by Gauahar Khan and Maniesh Paul, the ceremony was held on 21 December 2022 in Mumbai.
