The 63rd Filmfare Awards ceremony, presented by the Filmfare Magazine, honored the best Hindi language Indian films of 2017. The ceremony was held on 20 January 2018 and hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra. [1]

Contents

Jagga Jasoos and Secret Superstar led the ceremony with 10 nominations each, followed by Tumhari Sulu with 9 nominations.

Jagga Jasoos won 4 awards, including Best Music Director (for Pritam) and Best Lyricist (for Amitabh Bhattacharya for "Ullu Ka Pattha"), thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony.

Seema Pahwa received dual nominations for Best Supporting Actress for her performances in Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan , but lost to Meher Vij who won the award for Secret Superstar.

It stars Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, and tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father. It was released on 14 July 2017 to mixed reviews from critics and was a box-office bomb, but bagged ten nominations at the 63rd Filmfare Awards, winning four of them for the film's music.

Jagga Jasoos is the soundtrack album to the 2017 Hindi-language film of the same name directed by Anurag Basu, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Besides acting, Kapoor also produced the film under his Pictureshuru Entertainment, along with Disney Pictures India. The film's soundtrack and background score is composed by Pritam in his fourth collaboration with Basu, whereas the lyrics for the songs were written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and Neelesh Misra. The film features dialogues in a sing-song rhymes format written by Samrat Chakraborty, Devesh Kapoor and Debatma Mandal along with Bhattacharya and Basu themselves.

Jab Harry Met Sejal is the soundtrack to the 2017 film of the same name directed by Imtiaz Ali and stars Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan. The film's music is composed by Pritam and lyrics were written by Irshad Kamil. The soundtrack accompanied 13 songs which was released by Sony Music India on 30 July 2017.
