Anil Dhasmana is former Chief of National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO). He was also the Chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW),India's foreign intelligence service. He was appointed as the Chief of R&AW as the post fell vacant on 31 January 2017 following the retirement of the incumbent. [3] [4]
Dhasmana was born on 2 October 1957 in Pauri,Uttarakhand and holds an M.Com. degree from Uttar Pradesh. [5] He is 1981-batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IPS officer and was appointed on 3 December 1981. [6] His domain of expertise is considered to be Balochistan,counter-terrorism and Islamic affairs. [7] [8] He also has a vast experience on Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He served as Chief of Station in London and Frankfurt and Chief of Station,SAARC &Europe desks. Before being appointed as the secretary,he was posted from 13 March 2015 as a Special Secretary. [6]

He was laterally transferred to head R&AW after Ashok Chaturvedi retired from the post on 31 January 2009. One of the major challenges for K. C. Verma had been professionalise and streamline the agency,which has been in news in recent times for various scandals and controversies.
Vikram Sood is the former head of India's foreign intelligence agency,the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW),and an advisor to the Observer Research Foundation,an independent public policy think tank in New Delhi. Sood was an officer of the Indian Postal Service (IPoS) before he joined the intelligence organisation R&AW and later served as its spymaster from 2000 to 2003. He retired as a career intelligence officer with 31 years of service on 31 March 2003.

The Directorate General of Security is an organisation of covert operations under India's Cabinet Secretariat. Tapan Kumar Deka is the 28th Director of Intelligence Bureau of India. Deka is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 1988 (41RR),Deka was empanelled as Director general of police level in 2021. Deka's tenure as the Director of Intelligence Bureau started from 1 July as his predecessor Arvind Kumar's tenure ended on June 30,2022.
