Animal Alpha was a five-piece Norwegian rock group formed in 2002 and disbanded in 2009.
The band spent much of 2004 playing shows around Norway. Their performance at Oslo's Øya Festival received 8 out of 10 points in the British magazine, Metal Hammer ,[ citation needed ] and appeared on the national TV program Lydverket . The band later had two sold-out nights at the 500-crowd-capacity John Dee Live Club & Pub in Oslo. The band then signed with a small independent record label, Racing Junior, and planned the release of its first EP and album for spring 2005.
The producer Sylvia Massy recorded both the EP, Animal Alpha, and the album, Pheromones, at her studio in Weed, California.
Animal Alpha spent 2005 performing in Norway in support of the EP and album, which was released on September 5.
The EP achieved Gold status and the two singles/videos had national airplay.[ citation needed ] The band received nominations for Best Music Video for 2005 and Best Debut Artist.[ citation needed ] In winter 2006, the band played at industry festivals in the US, England and The Netherlands, and received offers from labels[ which? ] in the UK, US, Germany and other countries, while playing festivals in Europe.[ which? ]
A second album, You Pay for the Whole Seat, But You'll Only Need the Edge, was released on January 28, 2008.
The band had previously performed at festivals including Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, the Download Festival in England and Pukkelpop.[ citation needed ]
The song "Bundy" is used in the video games Burnout Revenge , Burnout Legends and NHL 06 , all published by EA Games, as well as in the end credits of the action fantasy horror film Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters . The track "Fire! Fire! Fire!" was used during the end credits of the Norwegian comedy horror film Dead Snow [1] and in the 2008 videogame MotorStorm: Pacific Rift .
On March 12, 2009, Animal Alpha disbanded. On its website and Myspace page, a press release was posted saying that the band "found themselves in a creative deadlock while preparing for their third album and after evaluating the situation decided to call it quits". At least two of the band members were to pursue solo careers or other projects.[ citation needed ]

Big Audio Dynamite were an English band, formed in London in 1984 by Mick Jones, former lead guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the Clash. The band mixed various musical styles, incorporating elements of punk rock, dance music, hip hop, reggae, and funk. After releasing a number of well-received studio albums and touring extensively throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Big Audio Dynamite broke up in 1997. In 2011, the band embarked on a reunion tour.
Emperor is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 1991, regarded as highly influential by critics and emerging black metal bands. The group split up in 2001, but reunited from 2005 to 2007 for a few festival dates and brief US tours, and again reunited in 2013 to 2014. Emperor reformed for the third time in 2016. The group was founded by Ihsahn (guitar/vocal) and Samoth.
Goldfinger is an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994. In their early years, the band was considered a contributor to the movement of third-wave ska, a mid-1990s revitalization in the popularity of ska, evidenced in their first three albums: Goldfinger (1996), Hang-Ups (1997) and Stomping Ground (2000). However, the releases of Open Your Eyes (2002) and Disconnection Notice (2005) saw the band shed most of the ska influence, and they have been more commonly placed in the punk rock genre in later years. Cinderella was an American rock band formed in the suburbs of Philadelphia in 1983. The band emerged in the mid-1980s with a series of multi-platinum studio albums and hit singles whose music videos received heavy MTV rotation and popularity. Cinderella initially had a glam metal sound throughout the late 1980s before shifting into a more blues rock-based sound during the early to mid 1990s.
Kix was an American glam metal and hard rock band formed in 1976, that achieved popularity during the 1980s. The band's classic lineup consisted of guitarists Ronnie "10/10" Younkins and Brian "Damage" Forsythe, bassist Donnie Purnell and frontman Steve Whiteman and drummer Jimmy "Chocolate" Chalfant. Kix covered Aerosmith, April Wine, Led Zeppelin, and others before signing with Atlantic Records in 1981. After peaking in the late 1980s, band members continued to record and tour until their disbandment in 2023.
Gluecifer is a Norwegian hard rock band based in Oslo. Formed in 1994, the band gained fame as a part of the Scandinavian hard rock wave in the late 1990s and early 2000s alongside Turbonegro and The Hellacopters. Gluecifer released five studio albums before disbanding in 2005 and later reuniting in 2017.
Motograter is an American nu metal band formed in Santa Barbara, California in 1995. They are best known for their homemade, namesake instrument, designed with industrial cable and guitar pieces that creates a unique bass sound, and painting themselves in tribal-style body paint for live concerts.

Trixter is an American glam metal band formed in 1983 in Paramus, New Jersey. Clouds Rolling By is the third album by the Norwegian rock band BigBang, released in 2000. The album was released on both CD and LP, with the latter being limited to 500 copies.
Bear vs. Shark are an American post-hardcore band from Highland, Michigan. They were founded in 2001 and disbanded in 2005 after releasing one EP and two full-length studio albums while signed to Equal Vision Records. The band later reunited for some shows in 2016.
Babylon A.D. is an American hard rock band formed in 1987. Babylon A.D. hail from the San Francisco Bay Area, California, United States. Skambankt was a Norwegian hard rock band from Klepp, just south of Stavanger, formed in 1994. They played their last concert on November 4, 2022, at the DNB Arena in Stavanger.
Still Hungry is an album by the American heavy metal band Twisted Sister, released in 2004. The album is a re-recording of the 1984 album Stay Hungry, with seven bonus tracks. "Never Say Never" and "Blastin' Fast & Loud", were demoed during the original 1984 sessions, completed by the classic line-up in 2001 and recorded for the release of Club Daze Volume II: Live in the Bars in 2002. "Come Back", "Plastic Money", "You Know I Cry" and "Rock 'n' Roll Saviors" are brand new 2004 studio tracks. "Heroes Are Hard to Find" was originally recorded and released in 1998 by the reunited band for the soundtrack of Strangeland, a horror movie written by and starring frontman Dee Snider based on the character Captain Howdy from "Horror-Teria".
Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers were an American rock band formed in Western Massachusetts in 2003. The band features lead singer and founding member Stephen Kellogg piano and bass player Kit Karlson, drummer Brian "Boots" Factor, and electric guitar/pedal steel player Sam Getz. Chip Johnson joined Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers on bass in 2011.

Heroes & Zeros is a rock band from Lillesand, Norway. The group was formed by Hans Jørgen Undelstvedt, Lars Løberg Tofte, and Arne Kjelsrud Mathisen in 2003. Tofte quit the band in 2010 and was replaced by Simen Krogstie Lagesen. They have released three studio albums, two EPs, and three live records.

The name Operator was used for a solo project created by Johnny Strong, an actor and musician, who has appeared in movies such as Black Hawk Down (2001), The Fast and the Furious (2001), Get Carter (2000) and The Glimmer Man (1996).
Ludvig Moon is a pop-rock band from Oslo, Norway. The band started as a solo act in 2012 when Anders Magnor Killerud left Spellemannprisen-winning pop band Team Me to pursue his own music. The band released their first songs on NRK Urørt. It was with these songs that they earned Urørt Ukas title on the NRK Urørt website. In 2014 they released their first EP which was self-titled. They released their debut studio album Kin in October 2016, and their second album Vanilla in May 2020.
Lukas Kasha is a Norwegian rock band, based in Oslo. They released their debut album, Animated People's Republic, on January 29, 2007. The first single off the album was Love Abuse', which was played on heavy rotation on Norwegian radio from the fall of 2006 to early 2007, and was later included in the soundtrack for the video game by EA Sports, FIFA 08. Over the last few years, Lukas Kasha has played at the Popkomm festival in Berlin, the Eurosonic Festival in Groningen, the Reeperbahn festival in Hamburg, Liverpool Music Week and the IUSY festival in Alicante, besides touring Norway, including Øyafestivalen in Oslo and by:Larm. They have supported or shared stage with, amongst others, Juliette & the Licks, Shout Out Louds, Infadels, The Dears, The Raveonettes, Dungen, Johnossi, Telex and Brakes.
