Ankaful is a town in the Central Region of Ghana. [1] It is under the jurisdiction of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly. The town is known for three things:

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Northern Region (Ghana)</span> Region of Ghana

The Northern Region is one of the sixteen regions of Ghana. It is situated in the northern part of the country and ranks as the second largest of the sixteen regions. Before its division, it covered an area of 25,000 square kilometres, representing 10 percent of Ghana's area. In December 2018, the Savannah Region and North East Region were created from it. The Northern Region is divided into 16 districts. The region's capital is Tamale, Ghana's third largest city.

Mid-State Correctional Facility is located in the Town of Marcy, between the cities of Rome and Utica in New York State. From about 1912 through 1982 the state ran a state asylum on these grounds. That institution would grow to hold 3,000 patients. Mid-State opened as a correctional institution, in the extensive former hospital buildings, in 1983.

Bole is a small town and is the capital of Bole district, a district in the Savannah Region of northern Ghana. Bole is connected by road to the town of Sawla and the town of Bamboi. Bole is home to the Bole District Hospital and post office. The Bole District covers an area of 4800 km2 land mass and has a population of about 87,656.

Ejisu is a city in Greater Kumasi located along the Kumasi-Accra highway about 20 km from Kumasi. It is the capital of Ejisu Municipal Assembly, a municipality of the Ashanti Region, Ghana. This municipal is one of the 30 administrative and political Districts in the Ashanti Region of Ghana and it was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I) 1890. In 2020, the Nkosuohene of Ejisu was Nana Kofi Poku. In 2022, the Chief of Ejisu was Nana Afrane Okese. As at 2024. the Municipal Chief Executive of the town was Mr Samuel Oduro Frimpong.

Prestea is a town in the Western Region, in southwest Ghana and about 50 km north of the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. It lies on the west bank of the Ankobra River, about 60 mi (100 km) northwest of Cape coast. The town is part of the Prestea-Huni Valley District. Prestea is the forty-sixth most populous in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 35,760 people. A railway line connects Prestea to Tarkwa and beyond to the coastal city of Sekondi-Takoradi.

Elubo is a town in the Jomoro district, a district in the Western Region of Ghana. As at 2023, the Chief of the town is Nana Kesse Panyin III. As at 2023, the Municipal Chief Executive of the town is Louisa Iris Arde.

The Ghana Prisons Service is responsible for the safe custody of prisoners in Ghana, as well as their welfare, reformation and rehabilitation. It is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Interior.

The Ankaful Nurses Training College is public tertiary health institution in the Ankaful in the Central Region of Ghana. The college is in the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly. The school is located at the Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital. The activities of the institution is supervised by the Ministry of Education. A Diploma in Nursing certificate is awarded students from the institution upon successfully completing a three-year nursing training programme. The Nurses and Midwifery Council (NMC) is the regulates the activities, curriculum and examination of the student nurses and midwives. The council's mandate Is enshrined under section 4(1) of N.R.C.D 117. The college specializes in the training of psychiatric nurses.

Bimbilla is the capital town of Nanumba North District, a district in the Northern Region of Ghana. It is located in the East of the region, and is near the Oti River. The location is situated within the range of 8.5° north to 9.25° north latitude, and between 0.57° east to 0.5° east longitude. It borders five municipalities: Yendi Municipal to the north, Mion Municipal to the northwest, East Gonja Municipal to the west and southwest, Nanumba South Municipal to the south and east, and Zabzugu Municipal to the north-northeast.

Samuel Nartey George is a Ghanaian politician. He is from Ahwiam, Old Ningo. He is a member of the National Democratic Congress. In November 2015, he defeated the incumbent E. T. Mensah to represent the party in the 2016 parliamentary elections for Ningo-Prampram Constituency. He is currently a member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing Ningo-Prampram constituency. Sam George holds anti-LGBTI views.

Our Lady of Apostles (OLA) College of Education is a women's college of education in Cape Coast, Ghana. It is one of 46 public colleges of education in Ghana and participates in the DFID-funded T-TEL programme. The principal is Dr. Regina Okyere-Dankwa.

The murder of Georgina Asor Botchwey, an aspiring trainee nurse, is alleged to have been carried out by the Tufuhene (Chief) of Ekumfi Akwakrom Christopher Ekow Clark Quansah and a pastor Michael Darko Amponsah. The crime was committed at Mankessim in the Central Region of Ghana. The killing came after the victim was allegedly kidnapped by the pastor after she went for an interview at the Ankaful Nursing Training College.

Ejisu Senior High Technical School is a public school located in Ejisu in Ejisu Municipal District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. In 2021, the school was part of senior high schools put under surveillance on suspicion of examination malpractice by WAEC.
