The United States National Security Council (NSC) is the principal forum used by the president of the United States for consideration of national security,military,and foreign policy matters. Based in the White House,it is part of the Executive Office of the President of the United States,and composed of senior national security advisors and Cabinet officials.
The National Cyber Security Division (NCSD) is a division of the Office of Cyber Security &Communications,within the United States Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Formed from the Critical Infrastructure Assurance Office,the National Infrastructure Protection Center,the Federal Computer Incident Response Center,and the National Communications System,NCSD opened on June 6,2003. The NCSD mission is to collaborate with the private sector,government,military,and intelligence stakeholders to conduct risk assessments and mitigate vulnerabilities and threats to information technology assets and activities affecting the operation of the civilian government and private sector critical cyber infrastructures. NCSD also provides cyber threat and vulnerability analysis,early warning,and incident response assistance for public and private sector constituents. NCSD carries out the majority of DHS’responsibilities under the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative. The FY 2011 budget request for NCSD is $378.744 million and includes 342 federal positions. The current director of the NCSD is John Streufert,former chief information security officer (CISO) for the United States Department of State,who assumed the position in January 2012.
Keith Brian Alexander is a retired four-star general of the United States Army,who served as director of the National Security Agency,chief of the Central Security Service,and commander of the United States Cyber Command. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff,G-2 (Intelligence),United States Army from 2003 to 2005. He assumed the positions of Director of the National Security Agency and Chief of the Central Security Service on August 1,2005,and the additional duties as Commander United States Cyber Command on May 21,2010.

John Chris Inglis,generally known as Chris Inglis,is an American government official who served as the first National Cyber Director. Inglis is also a former Deputy Director of the National Security Agency. On April 12,2021 President Joe Biden nominated Inglis to serve as the first National Cyber Director. His nomination was confirmed by the Senate by voice vote on June 17,2021. He was sworn into office on July 11,2021. He resigned from the position on February 15,2023.
The Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (OICI),also abbreviated IN,DOE-IN,DOE/IN,I&CI,or OIC,was established in 2006 by the merger of pre-existing Energy Department intelligence and security organizations. It is an office of the United States Department of Energy (DOE) responsible for all intelligence and counterintelligence activities throughout the DOE complex;due to this central role,OICI is designated DOE's Headquarters Intelligence. As a component of the United States Intelligence Community in addition to the Department of Energy,OICI reports to both the Director of National Intelligence and Secretary of Energy.

Siboni is a senior expert on national security,military strategy and operations,military technology,cyber warfare,and force buildup. Siboni is an Associate Professor,working specifically in the management of Cyber Security and a part-time lecturer at the Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid

Brigadier GeneralGregory (Greg) J. Touhill is Director of the world renowned Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute’s CERT Division. Previously,he was the president of AppGate Federal Group . He was previously appointed by President Barack Obama as the first Federal Chief Information Security Officer of the United States,stepping down in January,2017. He was previously the Deputy Assistant Secretary,Office of Cybersecurity and Communications,National Programs and Protection Directorate,Department of Homeland Security. While at DHS he concurrently served as Director of the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) during 2014–2015.

Hamm is an American lawyer,federal regulator and fintech and cybersecurity expert,formerly a board member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board,and Counselor to the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Treasury for cyber policy and financial regulation. In April 2021,her alma mater,University at Buffalo School of Management,named her Accountant of the Year.
Phyllis Schneck is an American executive and cybersecurity professional. As of May 2017,she became the managing director at Promontory Financial Group. Schneck served in the Obama administration as Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity and Communications for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD),at the Department of Homeland Security.
Robert E. Joyce is an American cybersecurity official who served as special assistant to the President and Cybersecurity Coordinator on the U.S. National Security Council. He also began serving as White House Homeland Security Adviser to President Donald Trump on an acting basis after the resignation of Tom Bossert from April 10,2018 to May 31,2018. He completed his detail to the White House in May 2018 and returned to the National Security Agency. where he is now the Senior Advisor to the Director NSA for Cyber Security Strategy,Joyce previously performed as acting Deputy Homeland Security Advisor since October 13,2017. On January 15,2021 the NSA announced that Joyce would replace Anne Neuberger as its Director of Cybersecurity.

He was appointed by President Joseph Biden as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary's Senior Advisor to the Management Directorate. Braun is also a lecturer at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy Studies where he teaches courses on cyber policy and election security.
