Colonel Annette Nkalubo, is a senior Ugandan military officer. She is the second highest-ranking military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). [1]

Education

Nkalubo holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, She also holds a Diploma in Legal Practice obtained from the Law Development Centre, also in Kampala. [2]

Career

Nkalubo, while at the rank of Lieutenant, served as a Member of Parliament, representing the UPDF in the 6th parliament (1996 to 2001). [2] [3] She was promoted from the rank of Major to Lieutenant Colonel in October 2008. [4] In 2010, at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, she served, on secondment, at the United Nations. [5] In March 2011, Annette Nkalubo, at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, served as the Director of Women's Affairs in the UPDF. [6] In January 2013, she was promoted from Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel, making her the second-highest ranking woman military officer, behind Major General Proscovia Nalweyiso. [1]

In March 2011, she was named among "Uganda's Top 50 Women Movers", of the time. [6]

Major General Richard Prit Olum, commonly known as Dick Olum, is a military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF), who serves as Uganda's military attache at the Ugandan embassy in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, based in Kinshasa, since October 2017.

Sam Kavuma Ugandan military officer

Major General Sam Kavuma, whose full name is Samuel Kavuma, is a Ugandan senior military officer. He currently serves as the deputy coordinator of the Operation Wealth Creation effective 24 June 2021, he was appointed by Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Immediately prior to his current position, he served as the deputy commander of the UPDF Air Force. Before that, Kavuma served as the Commander of the UPDF Contingent in Somalia, as part of the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM). He was appointed to that position in October 2014. He replaced Brigadier Dick Olum, who served in that position from September 2013 until October 2014.

James Nakibus Lakara, commonly known as Nakibus Lakara, is a Ugandan Lieutenant General in the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). Since June 2016, he has been the commander of the Uganda Rapid Deployment Capability Centre based in Jinja in the Eastern Region of Uganda. From April 2015 until June 2016, he served as the deputy force commander of the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM) and was in charge of logistical support. From July 2013 until April 2015, he served as the commanding officer of the UPDF 3rd Division, based in Moroto.

General Joram Mugume, is a military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). He is the chairman of the board of directors of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), the business arm of the UPDF. He was appointed to that position by the Uganda Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs, on 20 February 2018. He has also served as the chairman of the "Military Land Board", an organ of the UPDF. He has been serving in that position since 2005, having served as Deputy Chief of Defense Forces in the past.

Lieutenant General John Mugume is a senior Ugandan military officer. He currently serves as the General Manager of Defence Forces Shop Limited, the duty-free commissary of the UPDF.

Lieutenant General Charles Lwanga Lutaaya, is a senior Ugandan military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). He is the Commander of the UPDF Air Force. Before that, he was the Deputy Commander of the UPDF Air Force.

Joseph Musanyufu, is a lieutenant general in the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF), who serves as the joint chief of staff of the UPDF, the third-highest rank in the Ugandan military. Immediately prior to his present position, Musanyufu served as the chief of personnel and administration in the UPDF, a position that he was appointed to in 2014.

Major General Don William Nabasa, is a Ugandan military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). He currently serves as the Commander of the UPDF Military Police, effective 26 October 2021. Before that, he was the Commander of the Uganda Contingent in Somalia as part of AMISOM.

Brigadier Flavia Byekwaso, is a Ugandan military officer, who serves as an elected member of parliament representing the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) in the 10th Parliament (2016–2021).
