Antonio Vergara (born 16 January 2003) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Serie A club Napoli.
Born in Frattaminore, Vergara is a product of the youth academies of Frattese 2000, Virtus Crispano, PD F.lli Lod and Napoli. [1] On 11 March 2021, he signed his first professional contract with Napoli. [2] On 15 July 2022, he joined Pro Vercelli on a season long loan in the Serie C where he made his professional debut. [3] On 24 July 2023, he was loaned to Reggiana in the Serie B for a season. [4] His first season was cut short by a rupture to the anterior cruciate ligament, but on 1 February 2024 his loan with Reggiana was extended an additional season until 30 June 2025. [5]
Vergara returned to Napoli for the 2025–26 season, and made his debut as a substitute in a 2–0 win over Sassuolo on 23 August 2025. [6]
Vergara was called up to the Italy U19s for a set of friendlies in February 2022. [7]
