Antonis Parayios (Greek : Αντώνης Παραγυιός; 15 August 1929 – 28 November 2023) was a Greek professional footballer who played as a defender.
Parayios started his football career in 1943 at Posidon Glyfada. [2] In 1948, at the age of 19 he was signed by AEK Athens. In his first season he won the Greek Cup, playing in the final 2–1 win at the extra time against Panathinaikos at Leoforos Alexandras Stadium. [3] [4] On 28 May 1950, he won a consecutive cup against Aris in a 4–0 win at the same stadium. [5] [6] He won a third the cup of his career on 24 June 1956 in a 2–1 victory over Olympiacos. [7] [8] He reached 125 appearances in official matches with the double-headed eagle on his chest: 90 in the Athens Championship, 8 in the Panhellenic Championship and 27 in the Cup. [9] With AEK he won three Cups and an Athens FCA League in 1950. A serious knee injury forced him to end his career in 1957, at the age of only 28. [10]
Parayios became an international with Greece, making two appearances in 1950 and 1951. He made his debut on 13 December 1950 in a 1–0 defeat against France B at Leoforos Alexandras Stadium. [11] His last international appearance was on 14 October 1951 in the friendly match against the same opponent at the Stade Vélodrome, where Greece lost again with the same score. [12]
Parayios was married to Kyriaki, whose origin is from Asia Minor. He was one of the 23 veteran football players of AEK who were honored at the opening of the Agia Sophia Stadium. [13] He died on the morning of 28 November 2023, at the age of 94. [14] [15] Prior to his death he was the oldest living veteran footballer of AEK Athens. [1]

Kostas Negrepontis was a Greek footballer who played as a center forward in the 1920s and 1930s and a later manager. He was considered a great virtuoso of the ball, a football intelligence and a great shooter. He was a figure and was so dear to his fellows that never left their memory. Those who lived near him, those who worked with him, spoke with admiration about "Negro", as the fans called him. Calm, likeable and always optimistic, Negrepontis was the idol of fans and opponents. Negrepontis was one of the pillars of Greek football in his first steps and contributed to it both as a footballer, as a coach and as well as a football teacher for prospective coaches. He was distinguished for his passion, selflessness in terms of the progress of the Greek football, but especially for his beloved AEK.
Kleanthis Maropoulos was a Greek footballer who played as a striker for AEK Athens. He was a star footballer during the 1930s and 1940s and arguably the greatest Greek player of his generation. He was affectionately known as the "Blonde Eagle of AEK"(Greek: "Ξανθός Αετός της ΑΕΚ").

Stelios Serafidis was a Greek professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper for AEK Athens. Serafidis was among the most reliable and consistent goalkeepers in the history of the club. Gifted with agility and excellent reflexes, he was famous for his high diving saves under tough conditions. Despite his small stature, he managed to become one of the top players in the 1950s and 1960s and he is considered as one of the top Greek goalkeepers of all time.

The 1932 Greek Cup final was the inaugural final of the Greek Cup. The match took place on 8 November 1931 at Leoforos Alexandras Stadium. The contesting teams were AEK Athens and Aris. The eight goals that were scored in the match marked a goal-scoring record for a Cup final. AEK Athens with the conquest of the title became the first club to ever win the trophy and simultaneously deprived Aris the chance to become the first club to achieve the domestic double, since they emerged as champions at the end of the season. This was the last title for the star player of AEK Athens, Kostas Negrepontis, who retired afterwards. Nikos Kitsos of Aris holds the record for scoring a hat-trick in a lost Cup final.
