Aprilia is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded immediately after World War II in Noale, Italy, by Alberto Beggio. The company started as a manufacturer of bicycles and moved on to manufacture scooters and small-capacity motorcycles. In more recent times Aprilia has produced large sportbikes such as the 1,000 cc V-twin RSV Mille and the V4 RSV4.
KTM AG is an Austrian motorcycle, bicycle and sports car manufacturer owned by Pierer Mobility AG & Indian manufacturer Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV. It was formed in 1992 but traces its foundation to as early as 1934. Today, KTM AG is the parent company of the KTM Group, consisting of a number of motorcycle brands.
Motocross is a form of off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. The sport evolved from motorcycle trials competitions held in the United Kingdom.
Supermoto is a form of motorcycle racing held on race tracks that alternate between three kinds of track surfaces: the hard packed dirt of flat track, the irregular jumps and obstacles of motocross, and the paved tarmac of road racing. Supermoto was originally conceived by Gavin Trippe in 1979 as a segment of the TV show Wide World of Sports. It was something like an all-star game, in which the best riders from the three separate genres of motorcycle racing could temporarily leave their normal race class to come together and compete for the title of best all around racer. Today supermoto is a distinct genre of its own and riders in the other classes do not routinely cross over into supermoto.
BMW's motorcycle history began in 1921 when the company commenced manufacturing engines for other companies. BMW's own motorcycles—sold under the BMW Motorrad brand—began in 1923 with the BMW R 32, which was powered by a flat-twin engine. Production of motorcycles with flat-twin engines continues to this day, however BMW has also produced many models with other types of engines.

The RXV/SXV series are four-stroke, v-twin off road (RXV) or dual sport supermoto (SXV) motorcycles produced by Aprilia since 2006. Both versions have either 449 cc (27.4 cu in) or 549 cc (33.5 cu in) engine sizes.
The Aprilia RS50 is a sport moped made by Aprilia. The model made until 2005 was powered by a single cylinder two-stroke aluminium cylinder block, liquid cooled 49.7 cc (3.03 cu in) Motori-Minarelli AM6 engine. The new model, made since 2006, uses a single cylinder two-stroke aluminium cylinder block, liquid cooled 49.9 cc (3.05 cu in) engine made by Derbi, the D50B0. The bike is popular in countries that have restrictions on motorcycle engine size at specific ages. In restricted form the RS50 is capable of speeds of 50 km/h (30 mph), as per the laws in many European countries for those aged 16. In derestricted form, the 1997 model was tested at a speed of 105 km/h (65 mph). This and other similar machines such as the Derbi GPR 50 and Yamaha TZR50 have also been popular choices as a more adult-sized option for MiniGP racing, which is otherwise more commonly participated in by riders of smaller bikes such as the Honda NSR50.
The Aprilia Tuono is a naked motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 2002. It is based on the Aprilia RSV Mille. Its successor, the Aprilia RSV1000R superbike shares its engine, gearbox, frame and, partly, its suspension. The Tuono was succeeded by the Aprilia Tuono V4 R for model year 2011, though the V2 model continued in production into the 2011 model year.
Megelli Motorcycles was a British motorcycle manufacturer, which made its debut at the Milan EICMA exhibition in November 2007. Megelli motorcycles was founded by the Managing Director of Sports and Leisure Direct UK Ltd, Barry Hall, who previously specialised in off-road Aeon all-terrain vehicles, mini bikes and pit bikes. The Megelli range is currently sold in 37 countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North America and South America.
The Aprilia RS 125 is a race motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia to race in the Grand Prix motorcycle World Championship, built to replace the old Aprilia AF1. It was debuted in 1991, and it had many upgrades since. The bike won ten World Championship.
The Aprilia Dorsoduro is a line of V-twin, supermotard-class motorcycles built by Aprilia, a subsidiary of Piaggio & C. SpA. The Dorsoduro line comprises two models: the 750 cc original and the later 1200 cc variant which have similar appearances, but have few common parts. The model was named after the Dorsoduro region of Venice, whose name translates to "hard ridge".
The BMW F650 is a family of motorcycles developed by BMW Motorrad beginning in 1993. Models included the F650St Strada and from 1994, the F650 which, due to some subtle differences, was considered to be a more dual/multi purpose motorcycle with some off-road capability. The 1993 - 2000 F650 was the first single-cylinder motorcycle from BMW since the 1960–1966 R27, and the first chain driven motorcycles from BMW.
The 2006 Aprilia RX/SX 50 is a street/off-road motorcycle widely produced by Aprilia. It is powered by a six-speed, carburetor-fuelled, nikasil-lined and cast iron single-cylinder two-stroke engine manufactured by Derbi/Piaggio.
The Aprilia RS4 125 is a 125 cc class sportbike manufactured by Italian motorcycle firm Aprilia. The four-stroke RS4 125 replaces the extremely popular RS125 two-stroke race replica in Aprilia's lineup. The bike is based on the four-stroke version of the Derbi GPR125.
A sport moped is a moped that resembles a sport bike and often performs better than standard mopeds. They were created to circumvent UK legislation, called the "Sixteeners Laws", aimed at taking young motorcycle riders off the road. The new laws, introduced in 1971 by Conservative Party Minister for Transport John Peyton, forbade 16-year-olds from riding motorcycles of 250 cc (15 cu in) capacity, thus limiting them to 50 cc machines until they turned 17.
The Aprilia RSW-2 500 was a racing motorcycle made by Aprilia, which raced in the 500cc class of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing, starting from 1994 until 2000.
