Argyle Heir is a studio album by the American indie pop band the Ladybug Transistor. [5] [6] It was released on May 22, 2001, via Merge Records. [7]

Critical reception

The Austin American-Statesman wrote that "these Brooklyn nerds are at their best when they keep it simple, as on 'Echoes', a twangy number that sounds like an outtake from the Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo, or on 'Going Up North', a waltz instrumental with warm Mellotron tones and, uh, sleigh bells (which make several appearances throughout the record)." [8]

K13VC was a low-power independent television station in Austin, Texas, United States, which operated from November 30, 1989, until March 29, 2003. Branded on-air as "KVC 13", it was a sister station of KTBC for most of its history under the ownership of Argyle Television, New World Communications and Fox Television Stations. The station's transmitter was located at One Congress Plaza at the intersection of Congress Avenue and 2nd Street in downtown Austin.

Will Johnson is an American musician, singer-songwriter, author and painter who was the lead singer of the bands Centro-matic and South San Gabriel. This Side of the Moon is the third studio album by American singer Elizabeth Cook, released on May 17, 2005, by Hog Country Production. Cook based the album on her experience with the Warner Bros. record label, which had released her second studio album, Hey Y'all in 2002. Initially signed to AOL-Time Warner, she was transferred to Warner Bros. and experienced problems with the label, including an album delay. Hey Y'all was commercially unsuccessful and was not heavily promoted; its songs were not played on country radio. Cook voluntarily left Warner Bros. in 2003, and used her disappointment working in Nashville's Music Row as inspiration for her follow-up album.

Sahm met The Gourds as he performed at a music festival in Belgium in 1997. Sahm approached the band after he heard them sing a cover of his original "At the Crossroads".

Emits Showers of Sparks is the second album by the American band Sixteen Deluxe, released in 1998. The first single was "Purple". The band supported the album with a North American tour that included film projection and a liquid light component. The album was delayed several months, and Warner Bros. Records eventually dropped the band, in part due to Sixteen Deluxe's reluctance to keep touring.
