Ariannis Vichy Saladre (born 18 May 1989 in Santiago de Cuba) is a Cuban hammer thrower. [1] She competed in the hammer throw event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. [2]

Yunaika Crawford Rogert is a Cuban hammer thrower who won the Olympic bronze medal in 2004 with a personal best throw of 73.16 metres.
Harold Vincent "Hal" Connolly was an American athlete and hammer thrower from Somerville, Massachusetts. He won a gold medal in the hammer throw at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne. Connolly became the first American to throw hammer more than 200 feet. He set his first of six world records just prior to the 1956 Olympics, and held the world record for nearly 10 years.
Alberto Sánchez Escobar is a retired Cuban hammer thrower, whose personal best throw is 77.78 metres, which he achieved in May 1998 in Havana. He competed twice at the World Championships without reaching the final; in 1993 and 1995. He competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Jennifer Dahlgren Fitzner is an Argentine hammer thrower. Having spent much of her life in the United States, she competed as an amateur for the University of Georgia. She set the US collegiate hammer record and was the NCAA Outdoor champion in both 2006 and 2007. She is a three-time gold medallist at the South American Championships and won the bronze medal at the 2007 Pan American Games.

Arasay María Thondike Santovenia is a female hammer thrower from Cuba. She set a personal best throw of 71.14 metres in June 2007 in Warsaw. This personal best stood for two years until she significantly improved upon it with a throw of 71.72 m at the Barrientos Memorial in Cuba.
Amber Campbell is an American hammer thrower. Campbell attended Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina and competed for the Chanticleer track team. She had her first international competition at the 2005 World Championships. She then competed in the 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2015 World Championships. Her first Olympic birth came at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. She then went on to compete at the 2012 Olympic Games as well. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil, Campbell advanced to the finals placing 6th finishing as the highest placing American woman ever.
The men's hammer throw event at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Soviet Union had an entry list of 17 competitors from 13 nations, with one qualifying group before the final (12) took place on 31 July 1980. Top 12 and ties and all those reaching 72.00 metres advanced to the final. The maximum number of athletes per nation had been set at 3 since the 1930 Olympic Congress. The event was won by Yuriy Sedykh of the Soviet Union, repeating as Olympic champion. He was the eighth man to win multiple medals in the event and third to have at least two gold medals. Just as in 1976, Sedykh led the Soviet team to a medal sweep, with Sergey Litvinov taking silver and Jüri Tamm. The gold medal was the Soviet Union's third consecutive and fifth overall in the men's hammer throw, second all-time to the United States's seven.
Eli Johana Moreno Valencia is a Colombian track and field athlete who specialises in the hammer throw. She represented her country at the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics, and the 2009 World Championships in Athletics. She is the Colombian record holder in the hammer with a best throw of 69.80, making her the second best South American thrower after Jennifer Dahlgren.
Julia Ratcliffe is a retired New Zealand track and field athlete who specialised in the hammer throw. She won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, having won the silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Mark Pharaoh was a track and field athlete, who competed in the discus throw at both the 1952 Helsinki Olympics and the 1956 Melbourne Olympics where he came fourth. This has been described as by far the finest single achievement in British discus history. He was also an international shot put and hammer thrower. He was fifth in the shot put at the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games and second in the hammer at the 1953 Summer International University Sports Week.

Roberto Janet Durruty is a Cuban track and field athlete who competes in the hammer throw. He has a personal best of 77.08 metres, set in 2012. He is a two-time champion at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Athletics and the Ibero-American Championships in Athletics. He represented Cuba at the 2011 Pan American Games and the 2012 Summer Olympics, as well as the 2013 and 2015 Athletics World Championships.
Alena Matoshka is a Belarusian hammer thrower. She competed in the hammer throw event at the 2012 Summer Olympics finishing in 7th place. In 2019 the IOC disqualified her from the 2012 Olympic Games for failing a drugs test in a re-analysis of her doping sample from 2012.
Kateřina Šafránková is a Czech hammer thrower. She competed in the hammer throw event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. On May 20, 2016, she broke the national record in Ostrava with 72,34 m. She later beat that record with a mark of 72.47 in Kolin.
Bergur Ingi Pétursson is an Icelandic hammer thrower. Petursson represented Iceland at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's hammer throw. He performed the best throw of 71.63 metres on his third and final attempt, finishing twenty-fifth overall in the qualifying rounds.
Małgorzata Zadura is a retired Polish hammer thrower. Zadura represented Poland at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed for the women's hammer throw, along with her compatriots Anita Włodarczyk and Kamila Skolimowska. She performed the best throw of 64.13 metres on her second attempt, finishing thirty-eighth overall in the qualifying rounds.
Paraskevi Theodorou is a Cypriot hammer thrower. Theodorou represented Cyprus at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed for the women's hammer throw. She performed the best throw of 61.00 metres on her second attempt, finishing forty-fourth overall in the qualifying rounds.
