State Route 386, also known as SR 386, is a state highway in southern Arizona entirely within the Tohono O'odham Nation, traveling from State Route 86 to Kitt Peak National Observatory.
SR 386 is a 11.88-mile (19.12 km) highway that connects the Kitt Peak National Observatory with SR 86. The southern terminus of the highway is located at the observatory. The highway leaves the observatory heading towards the southwest as it descends the mountain. It eventually begins to make the turn towards the west, then the north, and finally the northeast. The highway follows the terrain of the mountain and does not follow a direct route to SR 86. The highway makes a turn towards the north once the terrain smooths out as it heads towards its northern terminus at SR 86. [1] [2]
SR 386 was established as a state highway in 1967. In 1986, the Arizona Department of Transportation acquired the right-of-way needed in order to widen the road. This improvement has yet to happen. [3]
The entire route is in Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation, Pima County.

State Route 85 is a 128.86-mile-long (207.38 km) state highway in the U.S. state of Arizona. The highway runs from the United States-Mexico border near Lukeville to the north ending at Interstate 10 (I-10) in Buckeye. The highway also intersects I-8 in Gila Bend and serves as a connector between I-8 and I-10 and for travelers between Phoenix and Yuma as well as San Diego. SR 85 between I-10 and I-8, as well as I-8 between SR 85 and I-10 in Casa Grande, is touted as a bypass of the Phoenix area for long-distance travelers on I-10.
State Route 89A is an 83.85-mile (134.94 km) state highway that runs from Prescott north to Flagstaff in the U.S. state of Arizona. The highway begins at SR 89 in Yavapai County and heads northward from Prescott, entering Jerome. From Jerome, the route then heads to Cottonwood and Sedona. The highway is notable for its scenic value as it passes through Sedona and the Oak Creek Canyon. The route then enters Coconino County soon after leaving Sedona. The highway proceeds to Flagstaff, where it crosses Interstate 17 (I-17) and I-40. The highway ends at I-40 Business in Flagstaff. What is now SR 89A became a state highway in the late 1920s as SR 79. The highway was extended and improved several times through 1938. SR 79 was renumbered to U.S. Route 89A in 1941 and then to SR 89A in the early 1990s.
State Route 92 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Arizona. Running roughly in an "L"-shaped pattern, SR 92 begins at SR 90 in Sierra Vista and ends at a traffic circle in Bisbee along SR 80, running entirely within Cochise County. The route was constructed and numbered as SR 92 in the late 1930s with a route that traveled further north past Sierra Vista than it does today. The routing was corrected in the 1960s.
State Route 169, also known as SR 169 and Cherry Road, is an east–west highway in central Arizona, with its western terminus at its junction with its parent road State Route 69 at Dewey and its eastern terminus at Exit 278 of Interstate 17. In conjunction with SR 69 and I-17, it serves as the most direct route between Prescott and the Verde Valley, bypassing the scenic, but dangerous mountain grades of State Route 89A through Jerome.
State Route 75 is a state highway in eastern Arizona that stretches from its junction with U.S. Route 191 and State Route 78 near Greenlee County Airport south to its junction with U.S. Route 70 in Duncan. It is primarily a shortcut for north and southbound traffic between Duncan and Clifton.
State Route 86 is a state highway in southern Arizona that stretches from its junction with State Route 85 in Why east to its junction at 16th Avenue east of Interstate 19 in Tucson. It formerly went east to the New Mexico border near Lordsburg, but this eastern segment has been superseded by Interstate 10. SR 86 is the primary east–west highway through the Tohono O'odham Nation.
State Route 587, also known as SR 587, is a state highway in south-central Arizona that travels from its junction with State Route 87 just south of Sun Lakes directly south to Interstate 10 in Bapchule. The entire highway is just six miles (10 km) long, traveling entirely within the Gila River Indian Reservation, and serves as a shortcut from the far southern suburbs of the Phoenix metropolitan area to Interstate 10.
State Route 564, also known as SR 564, is a state highway in northern Arizona serving Navajo National Monument. This highway travels from U.S. Route 160 to Betatakin Ruin; SR 564 derives its number from the former route number of the adjacent stretch of US 160, U.S. Route 164. SR 564 ends at Betatakin; smaller roads travel beyond to Keet Seel.
State Route 473, also known as SR 473, is a state highway in east-central Arizona that travels from State Route 260 to Hawley Lake. Hawley Lake is almost always the coldest place in Arizona.
State Route 387, also known as SR 387, is a state highway in south-central Arizona, United States traveling from State Route 87 west of Coolidge west to Interstate 10, then south to its junction with State Route 84 and State Route 287 in Casa Grande.
State Route 377, also known as SR 377, is a state highway in northeast Arizona traveling from northeast to southwest; it begins at a junction with State Route 77 south of Holbrook, goes past Dry Lake, to end at State Route 277 east of Heber-Overgaard. State Route 288 heads north from State Route 188 near Roosevelt Lake. SR 288 ends at Young south of State Route 260. Currently, most of SR 288 is unpaved.
State Route 187, also known as SR 187, is a state highway in south-central Arizona traveling from State Route 387 north of Casa Grande north to its junction with State Route 87 near Sacaton. The entire stretch of road runs in the Gila River Indian Reservation and is approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) long. It is a short-cut for traffic heading toward the southeast valley of Phoenix in case of an accident on westbound Interstate 10.
