Viktor Danilovich Saneyev was a Georgian triple jumper who competed internationally for the USSR. He won four Olympic medals – three golds and one silver (1980). Saneyev set the world record on three occasions. He was born in Sukhumi, Georgian SSR, trained in Sukhumi and Tbilisi, and died in Sydney.
Denis Viktorovich Kapustin is a retired male triple jumper from Russia. Best known for winning the bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics, he is also the 1994 European champion. His personal best jump is 17.65 metres, which he achieved in 1998.

Giuseppe Gentile is a retired Italian triple jumper, who won a bronze medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics.
James Aaron Butts is a retired American triple jumper. He won a silver medal at the 1976 Olympics and a bronze at the 1979 Pan American Games. He was inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014.
Jörg Drehmel is a retired East German triple jumper who won a silver medal at the 1972 Olympics. He was the European champion in 1971.

Leonid Mikhailovich Shcherbakov (Russian: Леонид Михайлович Щербаков, was a Russian retired triple jumper who won a silver medal at the 1952 Olympics. He broke the world record in 1953 and won the European title in 1950 and 1954. Domestically he won eight consecutive Soviet titles in 1949–56.
