Army Public School, Narangi, was established in 1982. It is an Indian Army Public School in the Army Cantonment of Narangi in Guwahati, Assam, India. [1] [2] [3] [4] Its vision is "To envisage education as an overall development of the mind, soul and body, instilling social competencies and positive values, to be the pre-eminent centre of learning in the country by empowering every student to become future leaders with an Indian ethos, who would contribute intelligently and ethically in an information rich, global society." Assam separatist movements

Assam separatist movements are insurgency movements operating in Northeast India's oil-rich state of Assam. The conflict started in the 1970s following tension between the native indigenous Assamese people and the Indian government over alleged neglect, domination, subjugation, political, social, cultural, economic exploitation and internal colonisation through its federal centre in Delhi. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of 12,000 United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) members and 18,000 others.

Jorhat City in Assam, India

Jorhat is one of the major cities of Assam. It is the headquarter of Jorhat district, which was carved out of Sivasagar district in 1983. Jorhat derives its name from two haats or bazaars "Masorhaat and Sowkihaat" on the banks of River Bhugdoi, a tributary of the river Brahmaputra. The place has a history of the mighty Ahom Kingdom; one of the Ahom warriors liberated the city from the Mughal rulers for which he retains the respect of the people of Assam. In December 2014, a series of attacks by militants resulted in the deaths of more than 76 people in India. The attacks took place in the Chirang, Sonitpur and Kokrajhar districts on 23 December 2014. They have been attributed to the Songbijit faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland: NDFB(S).

Guwahati Theatre Festival is an annual theatre festival held in Guwahati city of Assam state, India. The festival is organized by G Plus, an English-language weekly tabloid newspaper in Guwahati. The festival aims to provide a platform to performing groups to showcase their productions before a new audience in the Guwahati city and North East region.
