Arnot Mall is a shopping mall located in Big Flats, New York, in Chemung County. The mall features JCPenney and Burlington, in addition to a 10-screen Regal Cinemas and a Planet Fitness. Arnot Mall is a super regional mall, [2] serving mainly New York's Southern Tier and Finger Lakes Region.
The mall is located at 3300 Chambers Road (Chemung County Route 35) and operated by Spinoso Real Estate Group. [3] Arnot Mall is located along the Southern Tier Expressway (Interstate 86/NY Route 17) at exit 51A between Corning and Elmira. It is open seven days a week and has over 100 stores in all. [4]
Arnot Mall opened in 1967 as "The Mall" Shopping Center, at which time it had only 40 stores and JCPenney as the original anchor. [5] The mall took its name from its original developer, Arnot Realty. It underwent an expansion in 1980 adding Bradlees, Hess's, and Sears and now has an area of just over 1,000,000 sq ft (93,000 m2) and over 100 stores. Several anchors have changed names in the mall's history, the most recent being Burlington Coat Factory, which opened in 2006 in a former Bradlees. [6] Other former anchor stores include Hess's (which became Kaufmann's in 1995 [7] and Macy's in 2006), and Iszard's (later McCurdy's, then The Bon-Ton).
For the 2011 school year, all PREIT-owned malls, including Arnot Mall, gave away free school supplies with a purchase [8] of at least $75. [9] Racecar driver Jeff Gordon was spotted in the Arnot Mall arcade on Saturday, August 13 after a race on August 8 at Watkins Glen International. [10] Later that day, Robby Gordon gave out signatures outside of GNC. [11] Employees of the mall said they felt the 2011 Virginia earthquake that affected much of the northeastern United States. [12]
In 2016, it was announced that after a strategy had been elected by Macy's to solely focus on their highest achieving locations that they would be leaving this shopping center as well. It was later announced to become an entirely new outpost for The Bon-Ton which would open in 2017. [13]
On April 17, 2018, it was announced department store retailer The Bon-Ton would shutter after it wasn't able to establish any new conditions to satisfy its established long-term debt. [14]
In 2020, it was announced that Sears would shutter as part of an ongoing decision to eliminate its traditional brick-and-mortar format. [15]
Westmoreland Mall is a two-level, enclosed super-regional shopping and casino complex in the municipality of Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania, southeast of Pittsburgh, and owned and operated by CBL Properties. It was completed in 1977 and was extensively renovated and expanded in 1993–1994. The mall features retailers JCPenney, Macy's, and Macy's Home, in addition to Live! Casino Pittsburgh and a future Dick's House of Sport store in the space formerly occupied by Sears.
Southridge Mall is a regional shopping mall located in the Milwaukee County suburbs of Greendale and Greenfield, Wisconsin. At 1,177,783 square feet it is Wisconsin's second largest mall behind Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, tied with Fox River Mall in Appleton. The mall's anchor stores are TJ Maxx, Dick's Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Macy's, JCPenney, and Round 1 Entertainment. There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once Boston Store and Kohl's. Sears closed in September 2017, Kohl's relocated to a mixed use development on September 29, 2018, and Boston Store closed in Summer 2018 as parent company Bon-Ton went out of business. The former Sears was replaced by Dick's Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Round 1 Entertainment, and TJ Maxx.
Washington Crown Center is a 676,000 square-foot regional enclosed shopping mall in North Franklin Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, just outside the city of Washington and south of Pittsburgh. The mall's anchor stores are Marshalls, Ollie's Bargain Outlet, and Rural King. There are two vacant anchors that were once The Bon-Ton and Hollywood Theaters. A third former anchor, Sears, has been partially filled by a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram dealer, though a portion of the former department store remains vacant.

Haute City Center, formerly Honey Creek Mall, is a shopping center in Terre Haute, Indiana, with 680,890 sq ft (63,257 m2) of gross leasing area. The complex was expanded in 1973 and 1981, and was renovated in 1992 and 2007. The center was renamed to Honey Creek Mall at the time of the 1992 renovation. In 1999, a management contract for the mall was awarded to Trammell Crow Faison Regional Mall Services, a unit of Trammell Crow Co. of Dallas. The mall was then purchased by CBL & Associates Properties in 2004.

There are four vacant anchor stores that were once The Bon-Ton, Sears and Burlington Coat Factory, as well as AMC Theatres, which departed abruptly in mid 2021.
The Summit, formerly Summit Park Mall, was an enclosed shopping mall in Wheatfield, New York. Opened in 1972, the mall became largely vacant by the late 1990s. It underwent renovations in 2004 and 2005 which added new anchor stores and tenants, but after the mall's developers filed for bankruptcy protection in 2009, the complex was closed except for three anchor stores: Sears, The Bon-Ton and Save-A-Lot, with two more vacant anchors last occupied by Steve & Barry's and a Macy's closeout store. As of September 2017, Save-A-Lot has closed permanently, leaving only Sears and The Bon-Ton still open in the mall. On April 18, 2018, it was announced that The Bon-Ton would be closing in August 2018. as it is going out of business leaving Sears as the only tenant left. On May 7, 2018, Sears announced that would also be closing in August 2018. In December 2019, within Sears' old location, The Niagara International Sports & Entertainment facility opened. In 2020, a plan was proposed to revitalize the location, converting part of the mall into mixed use spaces, as well as offering lodging for visitors. Developers plan to expand the project to eventually include ice rinks, shops, and eateries.

Muncie Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Muncie, Indiana. Opened in 1970, it was developed by Melvin Simon & Associates, now known as Simon Property Group. The mall's original anchor stores were W. T. Grant, Britt's, Sears, and Ball Stores. In 2020 the mall had no anchor stores, although it continued to have over 30 inline tenants. Its anchor stores as they closed were JCPenney, Macy's, Carson's, and Sears. In 2021 the former Macy's building was bought by a discount store called Buyers Market.
