Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls is an outlet mall serving Niagara Falls, New York.
On July 19, 1982, the outlet mall opened in a former King's discount store. [1]
An extensive 1995 expansion added sixty stores, including a Saks Fifth Avenue outlet store called Off Fifth. [2] In 1997, the mall was acquired by Prime Retail (now part of The Lightstone Group) for $89 million. [3] A $12 million renovation in 2006 added new tenants and renamed the complex Fashion Outlets Niagara Falls USA. [4] The mall became a Macerich property in 2011. A further 175,000 sq. ft. expansion opened on October 23, 2014 [5] with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 6, 2014 with festivities and entertainment until November 9, 2014. [6]
Saks Fifth Avenue is an American luxury department store chain headquartered in New York City and founded by Andrew Saks. The original store opened in the F Street shopping district of Washington, D.C. in 1867. Saks expanded into Manhattan with its Herald Square store in 1902 and flagship store on Fifth Avenue in 1924. The chain was acquired by Tennessee-based Proffitt's, Inc. in 1998, and Saks, Inc. was acquired by the Canadian-based Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) in 2013.
Ontario Mills is a shopping and outlet mall located in Ontario, California, within the Los Angeles metropolitan area. With 28 million annual visitors, it is one of the top shopping and tourist destinations in California. It is one of three Mills landmarks in California that are now managed by Simon Property Group since April 2007. Simon owns 50% of it. The Outlets at Orange and The Great Mall are the others. The mall is owned by Macerich and was developed by Westcor a former subsidiary of Macerich. The mall features Dillard's, Scheels, Macy's as well as a Harkins Theatres. The mall is located on the northwest corner of the AZ Loop 101 (Price) and AZ Loop 202 (SanTan) but can also be accessed from Chandler Boulevard. Chandler Fashion Center serves as a transit center for Valley Metro Bus.
The Main Place Tower is located at 350 Main Street, in Buffalo, New York. The skyscraper is the fourth-tallest building in the city, and home to many technology and communication firms. The tower, built in 1969, rises 350 feet. The shopping center within the complex is referred to as the Main Place Mall.
The Great Mall of the Great Plains was a shopping mall located in Olathe, Kansas, United States. It was the largest outlet mall in the state of Kansas, and boasted over 150 stores and 10 anchors, laid out in a half-mile racetrack pattern. Amenities included indoor glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course, a food court, a Game Zone arcade, and a Dickinson Theatres movie theater with sixteen screens. Great Mall of the Great Plains was owned & managed by Glimcher Properties Trust until January 2009. The mall closed on September 18, 2015, although Burlington Coat Factory remained open. Demolition on the mall began on July 11, 2016, and was finished in January 2017. While developers announced in January 2018 that a redevelopment called Mentum would replace the old mall, this never happened. In October 2021, Olathe-based company Garmin Ltd. indicated that it acquired the property, likely to expand its company's headquarters. Burlington Coat Factory closed at the end of January 2023, leaving the mall without any businesses.
Shelter Cove Towne Centre, formerly The Mall at Shelter Cove, is a mixed-use lifestyle center located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The center features two anchor stores, which include Belk and Kroger, a park, and two luxury apartment buildings.
Fashion Valley is an upscale, open-air shopping mall in Mission Valley in San Diego, California. The shopping center has 1,720,533 sq ft (159,842.7 m2) of leasable floor area, making it the largest mall in San Diego and one of the largest in California. It is managed by the 50% owner Simon Property Group.
Rainbow Centre Factory Outlet is an abandoned enclosed outlet mall in downtown Niagara Falls, New York, that operated from July 2, 1982 to September 30, 2000. Its design was unusual in that it was contained within its own parking ramp, and opened directly into the now-demolished Wintergarden indoor botanical garden on its southern end. It was built, owned, and managed by the Cordish Company until October 2010, when CEO David Cordish personally donated the abandoned mall to Niagara County Community College for use as a culinary institute, student-run restaurant, and a Barnes & Noble bookstore. The Institute and bookstore opened in 2012.
Lockport Mall was an enclosed shopping mall in South Lockport, New York located on Transit Road. It opened in 1971 and included three anchor stores as well as a movie theater. The mall closed in 2006 except for the Bon-Ton department store. First announced in 2007, plans for a Walmart supercenter would displace the rest of the former mall building. The mall's demolition began in April 2011.
The Summit, formerly Summit Park Mall, was an enclosed shopping mall in Wheatfield, New York. Opened in 1972, the mall became largely vacant by the late 1990s. It underwent renovations in 2004 and 2005 which added new anchor stores and tenants, but after the mall's developers filed for bankruptcy protection in 2009, the complex was closed except for three anchor stores: Sears, The Bon-Ton and Save-A-Lot, with two more vacant anchors last occupied by Steve & Barry's and a Macy's closeout store. As of September 2017, Save-A-Lot has closed permanently, leaving only Sears and The Bon-Ton still open in the mall. On April 18, 2018, it was announced that The Bon-Ton would be closing in August 2018. as it is going out of business leaving Sears as the only tenant left. On May 7, 2018, Sears announced that would also be closing in August 2018. In December 2019, within Sears' old location, The Niagara International Sports & Entertainment facility opened. In 2020, a plan was proposed to revitalize the location, converting part of the mall into mixed use spaces, as well as offering lodging for visitors. Developers plan to expand the project to eventually include ice rinks, shops, and eateries.
Las Vegas Premium Outlets North is an outlet mall located on 40 acres (16 ha) in downtown Las Vegas, north of the Las Vegas Strip. It is an outdoor mall with 685,000-square-foot (63,600 m2). It is owned and managed by Simon Property Group, and is part of Simon's Premium Outlets chain. It was co-developed with Chelsea Property Group, and was opened on August 1, 2003. Expansions were finished in 2008 and 2015, adding additional retailers and parking spaces.
Adrian Mall was an enclosed shopping center serving Adrian, Michigan, United States. It opened in 1970 with JCPenney and Sears as its anchor stores; an expansion in 1985 added Elder-Beerman as a third. The mall remained largely unchanged until the 21st century, at which point many of the stores began closing. A portion of the mall was removed for Dunham's Sports, while JCPenney, Sears, and Elder-Beerman all closed. The former Sears location is split between Ollie's Bargain Outlet and Hobby Lobby. The mall is owned and managed by Kohan Retail Investment Group.
Fashion Outlets of Chicago is a shopping mall located in Rosemont, Illinois, United States. Located within the Chicago metropolitan area, the mall lies east of Interstate 294 and O'Hare International Airport and is adjacent to Rosemont Theatre. Opening on August 1, 2013, the mall is owned by Macerich, and was co-developed by AWE Talisman. Featuring more than 140 stores, the mall was noted for its differences from a regular outlet mall.
