Wilmorite Properties, Inc is a commercial real estate company based in Chili, New York, a suburb of Rochester, New York.
A subsidiary of the company owes significant back taxes and fees to the City of Rochester resulting from a loan and tax agreement surrounding the failed development of the Sibley Building. [1]
The company manages Eastview Mall, The Mall at Greece Ridge, The Marketplace Mall, and Pittsford Plaza, all of which are in Rochester.
James P. Wilmot founded the company in the 1940s [2] and since then, Wilmorite has developed retail, office, hotel, and residential real estate.
In 1967, Wilmorite built Greece Towne Mall (now The Mall at Greece Ridge), one of the first enclosed regional malls in New York State. [3] In 1969, Wilmorite opened Long Ridge Mall and combined Greece Towne Mall and Long Ridge Mall in 1994, renaming it The Mall at Greece Ridge Center, dropping "Center" in 2006. [4]

The company was organized in Maryland with its headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. As of December 31, 2017, the company owned 29 office buildings, 29 shopping centers, and 78 apartment complexes. On December 7, 2018, the company was acquired by Brookfield Asset Management.
Wilton Mall is a regional shopping center, located off Interstate 87 exit 15 in the town of Wilton, directly north of Saratoga Springs, New York. The mall has a gross leasable area of 709,000 square feet (65,900 m2). The mall's anchor stores are JCPenney, Dick's Sporting Goods, Healthy Living Market, Planet Fitness, and HomeGoods. There are 3 vacant anchor stores that were once Sears, Bow Tie Cinemas and The Bon-Ton. In addition, it features a food court. It is currently owned by Macerich, having been purchased from Wilmorite Properties of Rochester, New York in 2004. The Bon-Ton, originally an Addis & Dey's, closed in August 2018. On November 8, 2018, it was announced that Sears would close in early 2019, as part of a plan to close 40 stores.

Via Port Rotterdam, formerly Rotterdam Square, is a shopping mall located in Rotterdam, New York, United States. When it opened, the mall was originally called Rotterdam Square and owned by Wilmorite Properties until 2005, when Wilmorite was acquired by The Macerich Company, who then took over ownership and management of most of their properties. The mall has an area of 900,000 square feet (84,000 m2) on one level with 36 stores, a 450-seat food court as well as restaurants, an aquarium, entertainment center, and a seven-screen Sony-Loews Cineplex, now operated by Zurich Cinemas. The mall was purchased by Kohan Retail Investment Group in January 2014, and was later sold to Via Properties in June 2015. In 2016, Via Properties renamed the mall to Via Port Rotterdam.
Penn-Can Mall was a mall in the town of Cicero, New York, north of Syracuse. It opened on March 28, 1976. It was the first enclosed mall on the north end of Syracuse, and the fourth mall to be built in the entire metropolitan area. It was constructed by the Winmar Company of Seattle, Washington, and had room for 86 stores. At the mall's inception, only 28 stores were open, but the other spaces quickly followed, followed by even more during an expansion in 1986, putting the mall's store count to 121. The mall also had a smaller upper level with a few small shops and a Loews Cinema. There was also an old European clock in the center court of the mall. Today the mall, including its clock, is home to a multi-franchise "auto mall" known as Driver's Village.

The company name is a portmanteau of its founders, Mace Siegel and Richard Cohen.

It contains 119 stores and restaurants in the main complex, with the anchors being Burlington, J. C. Penney, Macy's, Regal Greece Ridge, and a free-standing Target which opened in 1999, with one vacant anchor last occupied by Sears and a vacant second level above Burlington. Other big box retailers including Dick's Sporting Goods, Barnes & Noble, Michaels, Old Navy, Macy's Home, World Gym, and Ruby-Gordon Home.
McCurdy's was a Rochester, New York-based department store. Founded in 1901, the company was acquired by May Department Stores in 1994, but as a result of an antitrust settlement due to both McCurdy's and May's Kaufmann's stores being the predominant anchors in the area shopping malls, its stores were divested to The Bon-Ton Department store chain.
Skyview on the Ridge is a former shopping mall located in Irondequoit, New York, a suburb of Rochester. The mall opened in 1990 as Irondequoit Mall, but early success gave way to dwindling patronage. At its peak, it featured four anchor stores: J. C. Penney, Sears, Sibley's, and McCurdy's. The mall later changed its name to Medley Centre, and closed in 2009 except for Macy's and Sears, which respectively closed in 2014 and 2016. On January 22, 2016, Angelo Ingrassia, a local real estate developer who specializes in redeveloping distressed properties into first class properties, purchased the mall.
Arrowhead Towne Center is a super-regional shopping mall located in Glendale, Arizona. The mall is owned by Macerich & GIC Private Limited. It is anchored by Macy's, Dillard's, JCPenney, and Dick's Sporting Goods. The mall was previously anchored by Sears and Forever 21. The mall includes an AMC Theatres and is home to 180 tenants. Somersville Towne Center is a regional shopping mall located in Antioch, California. Previously named County East Mall until 2004, the 501,259 square feet (46,570 m2) mall is managed by Urban Retail Properties. Originally opened in 1966, it is strategically positioned in one of the fastest growing areas of the San Francisco Bay Area, east Contra Costa County. Along with high population growth, east Contra Costa County is also experiencing sizable household income increases.

Chesterfield Towne Center is an enclosed shopping mall located in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area in unincorporated Chesterfield County, Virginia. It opened in 1975 and features five anchor stores: At Home, JCPenney, Macy's, and a combination TJ Maxx/HomeGoods, with one vacant anchor last occupied by Sears.
B. Forman Co. was a retail store in Rochester, New York specializing primarily in high-end women's clothing. Once the largest store of its kind between New York and Chicago, the company, founded by Benjamin Forman in the first decade of the twentieth century, closed in 1994. B. Forman Co., along with McCurdy & Co., created Rochester's Midtown Plaza, one of the first enclosed Downtown malls in the United States.
