Arun Prabu studied Visual Communication at Loyola College, Chennai. [1]

Career

Arun Prabu began his film career as a television actor, appearing in the soap opera Annamalai . He has been coached by director Balu Mahendra, [1] and has worked as an assistant director to K. S. Ravikumar in the film Manmadan Ambu . [2] In 2013, Arun Prabu began writing the script for Aruvi , which was subsequently directed by him and released as his first film in 2017. [1] He received critical praise for the film's direction. [3] His second film, Vaazhl has been in production since 2019 and was released on 16 July 2021.

Vaazhl (transl. Live) is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Arun Prabu Purushothaman and produced by Sivakarthikeyan under his banner Sivakarthikeyan Productions. The film features a predominantly new cast and crew, which includes Pradeep Antony, TJ Bhanu, Diva Dhawan, Aahrav and SN Bhatt in prominent roles. The film's music is composed by Pradeep Kumar, with cinematography handled by Shelly Calist and editing done by Raymond Derrick Crasta.
