The 7th South Indian International Movie Awards is an awards event held in Dubai on September 14 and 15, 2018. [1] It aims to recognize notable films and performances from the past year in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada films, along with special honors for lifetime contributions and a few special awards. [2] The nomination list for the main awards was announced in June 2017. [3]

At the age of 15, she appeared in a supporting role in the Kannada film 7 O' Clock, which was released in 2006. The 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards were presented on 12–13 September 2013 in Sharjah, UAE, to honour the best cinematic achievements of the South Indian film industry in the year 2012. Initially planned for June 20–21, the date was postponed due to "100 years of Indian cinema" jubilee festivities. The ceremony was hosted by Arya, Shriya Saran, Rana Daggubati and Sonu Sood at the Expo Centre Sharjah, while the "Generation Next Awards Night" was hosted a day before by Parvathy Omanakuttan and Ash Chandler. Differing from the 1st SIIMA Awards, technical Awards were presented on the first day as well. Show performances were delivered by Shruthi Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Shriya Saran, Rima Kallingal, Usha Uthup, Pranitha Subhash, Anirudh Ravichander, Ragini Dwivedi, Aindrita Ray, Andrea Jeremiah, Parul Yadav, Remya Nambeesan, Lakshmi Menon, Regina Cassandra and Meera Nandan.

<i>Vikram Vedha</i> 2017 film directed by Pushkar–Gayathri

Vikram Vedha is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir action thriller film written and directed by Pushkar–Gayathri and produced by S. Sashikanth under his banner YNOT Studios. The film stars R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi as the titular anti-heroes, while Shraddha Srinath, Kathir, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Prem, Achyuth Kumar, Hareesh Peradi and Vivek Prasanna play supporting roles. Inspired by the Indian folktale Baital Pachisi, the film tells the story of Vikram, a police inspector who sets out to track down and kill Vedha, a gangster. After Vedha voluntarily surrenders himself, he tells Vikram three stories which change his perceptions of good and evil.

The 6th South Indian International Movie Awards is an awards event held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Abu Dhabi on 30 June and 1 July 2017. SIIMA 2017 will recognize the best films and performances from the past year, along with special honors for lifetime contributions and a few special awards. The nomination list for the main awards was announced in June 2017.
