Sam C. S. is an Indian film music composer, producer, lyricist, and singer who predominantly works in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. He debuted in Tamil with the horror film Orr Eravuu before working on the scientific thriller Ambuli . [1] [2] [3] [4]
His most notable scores include Kaithi , Puriyatha Puthir , Vikram Vedha (and its 2022 remake), Odiyan , Adanga Maru , NOTA and RDX .

Sam was born into tamil family. He lives in Cumbum, Theni, Tamil Nadu. He attended St. Aloysius Higher Secondary School in Royappan Patti, Theni. He later earned a degree in MCA and MBA from St. Joseph's College, Tiruchirappalli. He worked for a software company after his graduation.
Sam assisted other music composers on scores for movies. [5] His talent was soon discovered by movie houses, which led to an opportunity to compose music for musical thriller Mellisai, later renamed Puriyatha Puthir . [6] [7]
During this time, he composed jingles, which led him to meet the director duo Pushkar-Gayathri, who offered him the opportunity to score Vikram Vedha . The film's album and original soundtracks went on to become chart toppers. [8]
Sam got his next opportunity in 2018 when director V. A. Shrikumar Menon offered him Mohanlal-starrer Odiyan to score.

Puriyaadha Puthir is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language mystery thriller film written and directed by K. S. Ravikumar in his directorial debut. It is a remake of the 1989 Kannada film Tarka which was based on Agatha Christie's 1958 play, The Unexpected Guest. The film, produced by R. B. Choudary, was released on 7 September 1990.
Murugadas Arunachalam, known professionally as AR Murugadas, is an Indian film director, producer and screenwriter who predominantly works in the Tamil film industry. He is best known for directing action films mainly on social issues. In addition, he has worked in Telugu films and Hindi films. V. Sivakumar, better known by his professional name Stun Siva, is an Indian stunt choreographer notable for his work in the South Indian film industry. Born in Chennai, Sivakumar developed an early interest in the Vietnamese martial art of Vovinam, which later influenced his approach to cinematic stunts. He began his career as a motorbike mechanic before transitioning to the film industry, where he started as a stunt fighter and assistant to stunt masters including Kanal Kannan and Rambo Rajkumar, later he became as a stunt master and actor. Stunt professionals such as Anal Arasu, K. Ganesh Kumar, Silva, Besant Ravi, Anbariv, and Rajendran have collaborated with him, serving as fighters and assistants.
Shraddha Rama Srinath is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films. Vikram Vedha is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir action thriller film written and directed by Pushkar–Gayathri and produced by S. Sashikanth under his banner YNOT Studios. The film stars R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi as the titular anti-heroes, while Shraddha Srinath, Kathir, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Prem, Achyuth Kumar, Hareesh Peradi and Vivek Prasanna play supporting roles. Inspired by the Indian folktale Baital Pachisi, the film tells the story of Vikram, a police inspector who sets out to track down and kill Vedha, a gangster. After Vedha voluntarily surrenders himself, he tells Vikram three stories which change his perceptions of good and evil.
Odiyan (transl. Shapeshifter) is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language fantasy drama film directed by V. A. Shrikumar Menon in his feature film debut. The film was written by Harikrishnan; it is based on the legend of the Odiyan clan, who in Kerala folklore are men believed to possess shapeshifting abilities and can assume animal forms. Odiyans are said to have inhabited the Malabar region of Kerala before the widespread use of electricity. The film stars Mohanlal in the title role, alongside Prakash Raj and Manju Warrier; it was produced by Antony Perumbavoor through Aashirvad Cinemas.
Vivek Prasanna is an Indian actor who appears in Tamil language films, mostly in supporting roles. In 2017, he won the Vijay Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film Meyaadha Maan.
Adanga Maru is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Karthik Thangavel. The film stars Jayam Ravi and Raashii Khanna, with Ponvannan, Babu Antony, Sampath Raj, Azhagam Perumal, Bharath Raj, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Munishkanth, Mime Gopi and Subbu Panchu in supporting roles. The music was composed by Sam C. S., with cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by Ruben.
