Vinayak Sasikumar (born 13 June 1994) is an Indian lyricist, who works in Malayalam cinema.
He was born in Trivandrum, Kerala to S. Sasikumar and Asha Sasikumar. At the age of 12, he started writing poetry. Later, he moved to Chennai and completed his graduation in Economics from Loyola College, Chennai. He completed his post-graduation from Madras School of Economics. After a span wherein he worked for Ford Motors as a data scientist, he moved to Kochi as a full-time lyricist.
He made his debut as a lyricist in the movie Kutteem Kolum directed by Guinness Pakru. Later in the year 2013, he wrote songs for the movie Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi [1] directed by Sameer Thahir. The songs composed by Rex Vijayan, went on to become top hits. In 2013, he worked for the movie North 24 Kaatham, directed by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon. In 2014, he wrote songs for the movie 7th Day, directed by Syamdhar. His next movie was Sapthamashree Thaskaraha. Vinayak wrote the themes of central characters in the Amal Neerad film Iyobinte Pusthakam later in 2014. [2] However, his big break came in 2016 with the films Guppy and Karinkunnam 6's. The songs of Guppy were critically acclaimed and went on to become top hits. His major 2017 releases include Ezra(1 Song:irulu neelum), Godha, The Great Father, Parava, Pullikkaran Staraa and Mayaanadhi(2 Songs: Kaattil and Uyirin Nadiye). [3] [4]
He later had a breakout year in 2019 with the hits "Aaradhike", "Njan Jackson Allada" from the Soubin Shahir starrer Ambili, "Pavizha Mazha" from the Fahadh Faasil starrer Athiran and "Minni Minni" from the film June. He was also a part of critically acclaimed films like Kumbalangi Nights, Helen and Kettiyolaanu Ente Malagha. The same year, he wrote and directed a musical short 'Hi Hello Kaadhal' starring Sarjano Khalid and Gouri Kishan, [5] in which he penned a Tamil language song titled "Vellai Poove" that became a hit. In 2020 & 2021, he wrote songs for notable films like Drishyam 2, Nayattu, Kappela, Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam, Trance etc.
In the Mammootty-starrer film Bheeshma Parvam, he wrote the acclaimed "Parudeesa" and "Rathipushpam" that were sensational hits overnight. Later that year, he turned an English lyricist for the Jeethu Joseph film 12th Man. Vinayak was also the lyricist of A.R. Rahman's comeback Malayalam film - the Fahadh Faasil starrer survival drama Malayankunju. [6] [7] [8] The subsequent months gave him more success with the songs of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Romancham going viral. "Santhe Soumye" from Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and "Aadharanjali" from Romancham became social media trendsetters. [9] [10]

Trance is a 2020 Indian Malayalam language neo-noir psychological thriller film directed and produced by Anwar Rasheed and written by Vincent Vadakkan. It features an ensemble cast including Fahadh Faasil, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Dileesh Pothan, Nazriya Nazim, Chemban Vinod Jose, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Vinayakan and Arjun Ashokan. The film was produced by Rasheed himself under the banner of Anwar Rasheed Entertainments. The film's plot follows the events in the life of Viju Prasad, played by Faasil, a Kanyakumari-based atheist motivational speaker, who is hired by a fraud agency to work as a Christian pastor. The film deals with themes of substance dependence, religion, and the commercialisation of spirituality.
Varathan (transl. Outsider) is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film written by Suhas-Sharfu and directed by Amal Neerad, who jointly produced with Nazriya Nazim under the banners of Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Amal Neerad Productions. It is an adaptation of the 1971 film Straw Dogs and stars Fahadh Faasil and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles.

Darshana Rajendran is an Indian actress who works predominantly in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries. Malayankunju is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language drama thriller film directed by Sajimon Prabhakar and written by Mahesh Narayanan, who also handles the cinematography of the film. Mashar Hamsa is an Indian costume designer from Kerala, who works in the Malayalam films. Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language adventure-comedy-drama film directed by Akhil Sathyan in his directorial debut. The film stars Fahadh Faasil in the titular role, along with Anjana Jayaprakash, Mukesh, Innocent, Vineeth, and Indrans. It is produced by Sethu Mannarkkad under the banner of Full Moon Cinema. The film was released on 28 April 2023 and received critical positive response from critics and audiences and was a commercial success. This movie is noted as one of the last movie did by Innocent.

The film was produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films in their debut production in Malayalam cinema. It stars Fahadh Faasil and Aparna Balamurali, alongside Roshan Mathew, Vineeth, Anu Mohan, Achyuth Kumar, Joy Mathew and Nandhu. It was released on 23 June 2023 and opened to mixed reviews.
The 46th Kerala Film Critics Association Awards, honouring the best Malayalam films released in 2022, were announced in May 2023.

Excitement) is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language action comedy film directed by Jithu Madhavan and produced by Nazriya Nazim and Anwar Rasheed under the banner of Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Anwar Rasheed Entertainments. The film stars Fahadh Faasil,Pranav Raj, Mithun Jai Shankar, and Roshan Shanavas, while Midhutty, Sajin Gopu and Mansoor Ali Khan appear in supporting roles. The music was composed by Sushin Shyam, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Sameer Thahir and Vivek Harshan.
