Deepak Dev composed the film's music, and the cinematography was handled by Sujith Vaassudev.
Manamantha is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language anthology film written and directed by Chandra Sekhar Yeleti and produced by Sai Korrapati. It stars Mohanlal, Gautami, Viswant Duddumpudi, and Raina Rao and also marks the former's Telugu debut after a guest appearance in the 1994 Telugu film Gandeevam. Oppam (transl. Along) is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film directed by Priyadarshan from a story by Govind Vijayan. 1971: Beyond Borders is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language war film written and directed by Major Ravi. It is the fourth installment in the Major Mahadevan film series, with Mohanlal reprising his double role as Colonel Mahadevan and a new character, Major Sahadevan. It also features Arunoday Singh and Allu Sirish. The film, set in two time periods, is based on the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and act as both prequel and follow-up to the series. Mohanlal's and Sirish's characters were modeled on Hoshiar Singh Dahiya and Arun Khetarpal, both of whom were awarded the Param Vir Chakra for their roles in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.
Odiyan (transl. Shapeshifter) is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language fantasy drama film directed by V. A. Shrikumar Menon in his feature film debut. The film was written by Harikrishnan; it is based on the legend of the Odiyan clan, who in Kerala folklore are men believed to possess shapeshifting abilities and can assume animal forms. Odiyans are said to have inhabited the Malabar region of Kerala before the widespread use of electricity. The film stars Mohanlal in the title role, alongside Prakash Raj and Manju Warrier; it was produced by Antony Perumbavoor through Aashirvad Cinemas.
Vini Vishwa Lal is an Indian screenwriter who works in Malayalam cinema. Vini's debut movie was Second Show (2012) directed by Srinath Rajendran (debut). Its also the first movie of Dulquer Salman, Sunny Wayne and Gauthami Nair in their acting career. His next film Koothara starring Mohan Lal, Tovino Thomas, Bharath and Sunny Wayne in the lead released in June 2014. In 2015 Starring Pournami a road trip movie starring Sunny Wayne and Tovino Thomas was penned by Vini. The film later dropped due to some budget issues. His latest movie Theevandi released on 7 September 2018, starring Tovino Thomas and Samyuktha Menon.
Big Brother is a 2020 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film written, directed, and co-produced by Siddique. It was jointly produced by S Talkies, Shaman International, and Vaishaka Cinema, in association with Carnival Movie Network. The film stars Mohanlal in the title role, along with an ensemble cast of Arbaaz Khan, Anoop Menon, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Sarjano Khalid, Honey Rose, Mirnaa Menon, Chetan Hansraj, Irshad, Gaadha, Siddique, Dinesh Panicker, Tini Tom, Devan and John Vijay in supporting cast. Big Brother marks Arbaaz Khan's debut appearance in Malayalam cinema. The songs and background score for the film was composed by Deepak Dev.
Varane Avashyamund is a 2020 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Anoop Sathyan, son of Sathyan Anthikad, in his debut. It was produced by Dulquer Salmaan. The film stars Suresh Gopi, Dulquer Salmaan, Shobana and Kalyani Priyadarshan. It has music by Alphons Joseph. It also marked the comeback film of Suresh Gopi after a five-year hiatus from acting; actress Shobana's Malayalam comeback after a 7-year absence as well as also Kalyani's Malayalam debut film. Principal photography began on 1 October 2019 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The film was released on 7 February 2020 to mostly positive reviews.
Ram is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. It is the first installment of a two-part film series. The film stars Mohanlal in the title role, with an ensemble cast. The film's music was composed by Vishnu Shyam.
Cobra is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language psychological action thriller film written and directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by 7 Screen Studio. The film stars Vikram in a dual role, while Irfan Pathan, Roshan Mathew, Sarjano Khalid, Srinidhi Shetty, Mirnalini Ravi, Miya George, K. S. Ravikumar, Anandaraj, Robo Shankar and Meenakshi Govindarajan play supporting roles. Neyyattinkara Gopante Aaraattu or simply Aaraattu, is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language spoof film co-produced and directed by B. Unnikrishnan and written by Udaykrishna. The film stars Mohanlal with Shraddha Srinath, Ramachandra Raju, Siddique, Vijayaraghavan, Saikumar, and Nedumudi Venu in supporting roles. Rahul Raj composed the film's original songs and background score.
