Production

Arfaz Ayub, who earlier assisted Jeethu Joseph, makes his directorial debut with this film. Major portions of the film were shot in Tunisia. [5] [6] Filming began on 28 March 2023, [7] in Tunisia, and the schedule was wrapped up on 18 April 2023. [8] The motion poster and title of the film were unveiled on 3 January 2024. [9] [10] [11]

Music

The music was composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar. [12] [13] [14] Amala Paul makes her debut as a playback singer with the song "Ente Pinnile Roopam." [15]

Reception

Vivek Santhosh of The New Indian Express rated the film two-and-a-half out of five stars and wrote that "What ultimately makes this psychological thriller both interesting and defeating is that no one is quite what they seem." [16] Anjana George of The Times of India gave it three out of five stars and wrote, "it is a film that rewards viewers who appreciate intricate narratives and symbolic storytelling. Its artistic approach makes it a promising debut, though its unconventional style might not appeal to all audiences." [17]

Rohit Panikker of Times Now gave it four out of five stars and wrote, "Level Cross is an exciting and interesting experiment in story-telling, and a psychological thriller that definitely offers a different experience in the theatre." [18] Sanjith Sidhardhan of OTTplay gave it three-and-a-half out of five stars and wrote, "If you are a fan of slow-burn, psychological thrillers, then Arfaz Ayub’s confident debut makes for a good watch." [19]
