Airtel Super Singer Junior – Ithu Thamizhagathin Chellakuralukkana Thedal – is a reality TV show since February 2007 hosted by Vijay TV, a popular Tamil channel of the Star Network, and sponsored by Bharti Airtel. It is a singing talent hunt for the children of age group 6–15. This is the junior version of the Airtel Super Singer show, which premiered on 28 April 2006. Auditions are held in various parts of Tamil Nadu, India. The show attracts many kids from all over the state and rigorous multi-level selection procedures are done in order to select the contestants for the competition. The tenth season launched on 16th November 2024.The winner is Vishanth ram.
Arunraja Kamaraj is an Indian singer, lyricist, actor and director in Tamil-language films. He is known for his works as lyricist in films such as Jigarthanda, Theri, Pencil and Kabali. He also debuted as an actor in Raja Rani and appeared as Neruppu Kumar in the film Maan Karate. He has written and sung the songs "Ding Dong" for the movie Jigarthanda and written "Kaavaalaa" for the movie Jailer which were critically acclaimed. He has also written and sung the song "Neruppu Da" in Rajinikanth's film Kabali. His other notable works includes movies such as Demonte Colony and Trisha Illana Nayanthara.
Vivek–Mervin is an Indian music composer duo consisting of Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon. They are known for their work in Tamil language films. They worked together on Vadacurry (2014), Dora (2016), Pattas (2020), Sulthan (2021) Sangathamizhan (2020) and Gulaebaghavali (2018).
Bjorn Surrao is an Indian singer-songwriter, performer, music producer and actor. He initially gained fame for his vocals in the song "Master the Blaster" from the Tamil film Master (2021). The track went on to #1 on iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify listings with over 32 million views on YouTube. Bjorn has an independent music band called "Franks got the Funk". After "Master the Blaster", Bjorn in collaboration with Arivu & Jigarthanda Music worked on a song for Think Music titled "Yenna Sonna" Chennai Super Kings Anthem. His acting gained widespread attention after his supporting comedy role in Doctor (2021). He also starred in Beast with Vijay.
Pradeep Rangaswamy Kumar is an Indian playback singer and music director who has worked in Tamil language films. After beginning his career as a Carnatic musician, in the 2010s, he has regularly collaborated with composers Santhosh Narayanan and Sean Roldan.
Jagame Thandhiram is the eleven-song soundtrack album composed by Santhosh Narayanan for the 2021 Tamil film of the same name, starring Dhanush and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Continuing his association with Subbaraj after Anirudh Ravichander being roped in for Petta, the film also marks Santhosh's third collaboration with Dhanush after Kodi, Vada Chennai and Karnan. The album which featured lyrics written by Vivek, Dhanush, Arivu, Anthony Daasan and Madurai Babaraj was released by Sony Music India on 6 June 2021.
Petta is the soundtrack album composed by Anirudh Ravichander, for the 2019 Indian Tamil-language action drama film film of the same name, directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures, starring Rajinikanth. The film marks Anirudh's maiden collaboration with the director and actor. The accompanying soundtrack consisted of 11 songs—six musical numbers with the lyrics by Vivek, Ku. Karthik, Dhanush and Subbaraj, and five instrumental themes.
Uriyadi (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack album to the 2016 film of the same name directed and produced by debutant Vijay Kumar, who also starred as one of the leads. The film's soundtrack featured seven songs composed by the band Masala Coffee, Anthony Daasan and Vishal Chandrashekhar. The soundtrack was released through Sony Music India on 28 January 2016.
The music for the 2014 Tamil-language crime drama film Jigarthanda (transl. cold-hearted) is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by S. Kathiresan, stars Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Lakshmi Menon, Karunakaran and Guru Somasundaram. The music for the film released under two different albums—one contains the original songs which had lyrics written by Muthamil, Arunraja Kamaraj, Anthony Daasan, Pradeep Kumar and Sean Roldan, and the other contained several cues of original music underscored in the background. The first album was released on March 2014, five months before the film's theatrical release with the second album being unveiled after the film's release. Both the albums were distributed under the Think Music label. Santhosh's work met with acclaim, both from critics and audiences, regarding it as one of his best works.
