Potluri Vara Prasad (born September 8, 1970) is an Indian serial entrepreneur. He serves as the Executive Chairman and Managing Director of PVP Ventures Ltd., as well as the Managing Director and Executive Director of Picturehouse Media Ltd. [3] [4] [5]
Potluri Prasad was born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India, to Potluri Raghavendra Rao and P. Manga Taradevi. He has two siblings. He attended NSM Public School in Vijayawada and pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Nagarjuna University. [6] In 1994, he completed a Master’s degree at a university in Australia. The following year, in 1995, he moved to the United States. [7]
In 1996, Prasad founded Procon, an IT services company, which was acquired by RCM Technologies in 1998. [8] In 2000, he launched Albion Orion Company, which later merged with SSI [9] in a transaction valued at $63.65 million. [10]
In 2001, Prasad co-founded Irevna, a company specializing in knowledge process outsourcing services, which was acquired by CRISIL in 2005. [11] [12] In the following year, 2006, he founded PVP Ventures, a publicly traded corporation focused on media and entertainment financing. [13]
Under Prasad's leadership, PVP Ventures ventured into film production with PVP Cinema and acquired the Hyderabad Hotshots [14] franchise in the Indian Badminton League, [15] [16] [17] participating in the inaugural season in 2013. [18]
In 2008, Prasad expanded into the real estate sector with PVP Ventures and its development arm, PVP Square, [19] in Hyderabad. [20]
He is also a member of several business associations, including the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce and the Hyderabad Management Association. [21]

Bangalore Naatkal is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by Bhaskar, which is a remake of the 2014 Malayalam film Bangalore Days written and directed by Anjali Menon. Featuring an ensemble cast consisting of Arya,Bobby Simha,Sri Divya it tells the story of three cousins who live their childhood dream of living and enjoying in the city of Bangalore. Produced by Prasad V Potluri under his banner PVP cinema, the film released on 5 February 2016. Unlike the original, this movie received mixed reviews and failed at the box office with critics and fans drawing comparisons with the original.
