Aruppukkottai block is a revenue block in the Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu, India. It has a total of 32 panchayat villages.

Virudhunagar district was formed by the separation of Old Ramanathapuram District in 1987 into Ramanathapuram District, Sivagangai District and the west part as Virudhunagar District.
