Asian Granito India Limited (AGL) was established in 2000 by Kamlesh Patel and Mukesh Patel in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.[ citation needed ] In 2001, the company set up its first ceramic plant at Idar, Gujarat, with an installed capacity reportedly around 2,500 sq m per day.[ citation needed ]
In 2007, AGL launched its initial public offering (IPO) and was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). [8]
