Asian Granito India Limited (AGL) is an Indian manufacturer of ceramic and vitrified tiles, founded in 2000 and headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. History

Asian Granito India Limited (AGL) was established in 2000 by Kamlesh Patel and Mukesh Patel in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.[ citation needed ] In 2001, the company set up its first ceramic plant at Idar, Gujarat, with an installed capacity reportedly around 2,500 sq m per day.[ citation needed ]

In 2007, AGL launched its initial public offering (IPO) and was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). [8]

In December 2021, AGL announced plans to launch what it described as the world's largest tiles showroom in Gujarat. [9]

In April 2022, AGL announced a rights issue of approximately ₹441 crore to support expansion plans, including the establishment of three new manufacturing facilities at Morbi, Gujarat, in value‑added luxury surfaces and bathware segments. [10] [11]

In October 2023, AGL stated that it had commenced operations in the United Arab Emirates as part of a broader global expansion, and reported business activity in the UAE, USA, UK, Thailand, Indonesia, Senegal, and Nepal. [12] [13]

In July 2024, AGL launched an exclusive experience gallery at Ahmedabad Airport. [14]

In March 2025, AGL inaugurated a 3,500‑square‑foot display center in Hyderabad. [15]

Operations

Asian Granito India Limited (AGL) operates 14 manufacturing plants across Gujarat and maintains over 235 exclusive franchise-owned showrooms and 11 company-owned display centers throughout India. [16] Its marketing and distribution network comprises more than 14,000 touchpoints, including distributors, dealers, and sub-dealers, and it exports products to over 100 countries. [17]

AGL's production capacity has expanded from approximately 0.83 million sq m per annum in FY 2000 to 54.5 million sq m per annum by FY 2023, representing a growth of over 65 times. [18]

In January 2025, AGL appointed Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor as brand ambassador for its tiles brand “Bonzer7.” [19]

Celebrity collaboration

In March 2024, AGL signed Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor as its brand ambassador and launched the “Premium ka Pappa” campaign. [20]

In February 2024, AGL announced a collaboration with Ogilvy India for brand communications and marketing. [21]
