Astegopteryx minuta is a horned aphid in the subfamily Hormaphidinae. [1] [2] It was described from Java and also occurs in India. [1] They feed on bamboo leaves where they form sparse colonies. [2] In securing their feeding sites, individual aphids engage in aggressive contests. [3]
