"Message to Michael" is a song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, that has been a hit for several different artists under several different titles. The song was first recorded as "Message to Martha" by Jerry Butler in 1962. In 1964, singer Lou Johnson had a minor US hit with the song, with the title "Kentucky Bluebird". British singer Adam Faith also recorded the song as "A Message to Martha " in 1965, and had a substantial hit with it in the UK, reaching No. 12. Exactly the same recording was issued in Australia as "Message to Martha", where it was a No. 15 hit for Faith. In the United States, Dionne Warwick's version, titled "Message to Michael", was a top ten hit there in 1966.

As a classical singer, Novotny has performed principal roles nationally with opera companies and symphony orchestras at Carnegie Hall, the American Ballet Theatre, the Metropolitan Opera, the Los Angeles Opera and the Aspen Music Festival. Novotny has sung lead vocals on film soundtracks and has a career as a principal stage and film actor. She is also a project leader and roster artist for the charitable organization Sing For Hope. "Resentment" is a song written by Walter W. Millsap III, Candice Nelson and Curtis Mayfield, and originally performed by Victoria Beckham. The song was later recorded with additional lyrics by American singer Beyoncé, who included it on her second studio album B'Day (2006). It is an emotive ballad whose lyrics detail a situation where a woman feels hurt and anger that her man lied and cheated on her.
The Russellville Bypass is a beltway around Russellville in Logan County in south central Kentucky. The 12.260-mile-long (19.731 km) highway comprises overlapping portions of U.S. Route 68 and Kentucky Route 80, US 79, and US 431. The north side of the circumferential highway was conceived in the 1980s to relieve traffic in downtown Russellville and as part of greater improvements along the US 68 corridor. The first two phases of the ring road, from US 79 on the west side to US 68 on the east side, were constructed in the 1990s. The state decided to complete the orbital road in the 2000s to resolve continuing traffic bottlenecks along US 431 and US 79 on the south side. The second two phases of the beltline were started in 2010 and completed in 2017. Construction of the Russellville Bypass led to a series of route changes over 20 years involving the city's U.S. Highways, special routes, and state-numbered highways.
