Janieve Russell is a Jamaican track and field athlete who competes mainly in the 400 metres hurdles and the 400 metres sprint. She won an Olympic bronze medal in the 4 × 400 m relay in Tokyo 2021, where she also finished fourth in the 400m hurdles final in a personal best of 53.08 secs. She is a four-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, winning the 400m hurdles title in 2018 and 2022, and the 4 × 400 m relay in 2014 and 2018. She has also won two relay silvers at the World Championships and a relay gold at the World Indoor Championships.

The 3rd China–Japan–Korea Friendship Athletic Meeting were held at the Gimcheon Stadium in Gimcheon, Korea on July 3, 2016.

The Athletics competition at the 2017 Games of the Small States of Europe was held in San Marino Stadium in Serravalle from 30 May to 3 June 2017.

The 2017 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships were the 96th NCAA Men's Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships and the 36th NCAA Women's Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships held for the fifth consecutive year at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon on the campus of the University of Oregon. In total, forty-two different men's and women's track and field events were contested from June 7 to June 10, 2017.

Athletics was one of the 26 sports contested at the 2019 Pacific Games hosted by Samoa. The track and field events were held at Apia Park on 15–20 July, with the half marathon staged on a course at the Apia waterfront on 20 July. Forty-nine athletics events were contested at the games, including six parasport events.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Femke Bol</span> Dutch hurdler and sprinter

Femke Bol is a Dutch track and field athlete who competes in hurdling and sprinting. She specialises in the 400 metres hurdles, where she is the 2023 World Champion, and in the 400 metres, where she is the 2024 World Indoor Champion and the short track world record holder. In the 4 × 400 metres relay, she is the 2023 World Champion and the 2024 World Indoor Champion with the Dutch women's team.
