Gonzalo Barroilhet Costabal (born August 19, 1986 in Santiago, Chile) is a male decathlete from Chile. [1] He competed for his native country at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. He is affiliated with the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee, Florida.

Ngonidzashe Makusha is a Zimbabwean sprinter and long jumper. He is the national record holder over 100 m and long jump for Zimbabwe with 9.89 s (+1.3 m/s) and 8.40 m (0.0 m/s), respectively. Both performances were achieved during the 2011 NCAA Division I Championships in Des Moines, Iowa where he completed the 100 m - long jump double gold. Makusha was one of the only four, now five, athletes to win the 100 m - long jump double gold at the NCAA championships. The four others are DeHart Hubbard (1925), Jesse Owens, Carl Lewis (1981), and Jarrion Lawson (2016).

He is the 2-time World Indoor champion, winning the gold medal at the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, and again at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships at Sopot, Poland, on 8 March 2014. He competed at the 2008 Olympic Games without reaching the final, but he did make the final 8 at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

The Florida Gators track and field program represents the University of Florida in the sport of track and field. The program includes separate men's and women's teams, both of which compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Gators host their home indoor meets in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center and their home outdoor meets at Percy Beard Track, both located on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus. Sunrayce 99 was an intercollegiate solar car race sponsored by General Motors, EDS, and the US Department of Energy. The race began on June 20, 1999 in Washington, D.C., and finished on June 29, 1999 at Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida. The event was won by the University of Missouri at Rolla. Sunrayce 99 was the fifth and final race in the Sunrayce series and was followed by the first American Solar Challenge in 2001. The overall success of the event was limited by difficult weather conditions. Teams battled clouds and rain throughout the race, and no team avoided having to trailer their car for at least part of the race route.
