Secondary education is the last six or seven years of statutory formal education in the United States. It culminates with twelfth grade. Whether it begins with sixth grade or seventh grade varies by state and sometimes by school district.
Ninth grade is the ninth or tenth year of formal or compulsory education in some countries. It is generally part of middle school or secondary school depending on country. Students in ninth grade are usually 14–15 years old, but in some countries are 15–16.
Tenth grade is the tenth year of formal or compulsory education. It is typically the second year of high school. In many parts of the world, students in tenth grade are usually 15 or 16 years of age.

South Callaway R-II High School, most commonly known as South Callaway High School, South Callaway, SoCal, or SCHS, is a public high school located in Mokane, Missouri, United States. The school is part of the South Callaway R-II School District, all located on the same campus in Mokane, and is the only high school in the district. The school colors are blue and white. Murray County Central (MCC) is a school district in southwestern Minnesota. Both the elementary school (West), and the high school (Central) are located in Slayton. The high school was known for much of its history as Slayton High School; this officially changed when the district consolidated in 1992, bringing in students from many of the surrounding communities, including Avoca, Chandler, Currie, Iona, and Lake Wilson. The high school currently houses grades seven through twelve as well as the kindergarten and first grade students. Those in grades two through six attend West Elementary.
