Atticus is a brand of clothing founded in 2001 by Blink-182 members Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge, along with their childhood friend Dylan Anderson.
The name Atticus Clothing was derived from several places, one being the main character's father in the book To Kill a Mockingbird by the author Harper Lee. In addition to the literary connection the name is derived from Herodes Atticus, a Greek rhetorician who spent his fortune supporting music and the arts. [1]
The Atticus logo, created by Dylan Anderson, depicts a bird lying on its back in an almost cartoon death position, inspired by the To Kill a Mockingbird title. The logo also pays homage to the fictional record label Death Records in the 1974 Brian De Palma film Phantom of the Paradise.
The company is heavily influenced by music and released three volumes of their Dragging the Lake compilation CDs. Each CD featured songs from bands such as Blink-182, Alkaline Trio, New Found Glory, Name Taken, Bane, Rocket From The Crypt, Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, Death Cab for Cutie, Matchbook Romance, Finch, Alexisonfire, Saosin, Thrice, Lagwagon, The Used, The Starting Line and Coheed and Cambria. To Kill a Mockingbird is a novel by Harper Lee published in 1960. The band was a side-project of Blink-182 members Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, with David Kennedy completing the band's studio lineup; a bassist and friend of Barker, Anthony Celestino, toured with the band throughout late 2002. The record was the only studio effort the trio produced together, and was recorded over the course of six weeks in late 2001.

"What's My Age Again?" is a song by American rock band Blink-182. It was released in April 1999 as the lead single from the group's third studio album, Enema of the State (1999), released through MCA Records. "What's My Age Again?" shares writing credits between the band's guitarist Tom DeLonge and bassist Mark Hoppus, but Hoppus was the primary composer of the song. Matchbook Romance was an American Emo band from Poughkeepsie, New York and was formed in 1997. They were signed to Epitaph Records. They released two full-length albums and one EP. Their EP, West for Wishing, released in 2003 was their first recorded album during their time on Epitaph; their full-length debut album, Stories and Alibis, was recorded in the same year.
Greatest Hits is the first greatest hits album of American rock band Blink-182. It was released on October 31, 2005 by Geffen Records. Greatest Hits was created by Geffen shortly after the band's February 2005 breakup, termed an "indefinite hiatus" by the label. Tensions had risen in the group and guitarist Tom DeLonge desired to take time off. Bassist Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker argued with DeLonge regarding the band's future and their possible next album, and heated exchanges led to DeLonge's exit. In the interim, Hoppus and Barker continued playing together in +44, and DeLonge formed his new outfit Angels & Airwaves.
"Not Now" is a song by American rock band Blink-182 that was released on November 28, 2005. It was the lone single from the group's first compilation album, Greatest Hits (2005), as it was the only song on the compilation that was previously unreleased in the US.
