Auguste Lambrecht Jr. [1] [2] [3] (born 6 September 1905, date of death unknown) was a Belgian rower. He competed in the men's eight event at the 1928 Summer Olympics. [4]
Belgium was the host nation for the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. 336 competitors, 326 men and 10 women, took part in 121 events in 23 sports.
Lesley Allison Thompson-Willie is a Canadian rowing coxswain and Olympic champion. Between 1984 and 2016, she has competed at eight Olympic Games, a record for a rower, winning medals in five of them including gold in the eight at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.

France's crew took silver, the second consecutive silver for France. Switzerland earned bronze.

The medals all went to nations that had not won a medal in the men's coxed four previously: Switzerland and the United States took gold and silver, respectively, in their debuts in the event; Norway took bronze.

In addition to gold medals, the winners received a challenge prize that had been donated by Eugenio Brunetta d'Usseaux before his death in 1919.

Stany Delayre is a French rower. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed with Jérémie Azou in the men's lightweight double sculls, finishing in 4th place. On home water, he and Azou won the 2015 World Championship in that event. Their team also won the silver medal at the 2014 World Championships, and won the 2013, 2014 and 2015 European Championships. In 2009, Delayre was part of the French men's lightweight quadruple sculls time at the World Championships. He was also part of the French under-23s men's lightweight quadruple sculls at the 2006 and 2007 Junior World Rowing Championships.
Carling Zeeman is a Canadian rower. She competed at several World cups, international events, along with the 2015 Pan American Games. Zeeman is a former world championships silver medallist in the women's quadruple sculls event. More recently she won gold in the women's single sculls at World Rowing Cup I regatta in Varese, Italy, and a silver at the 2017 World Rowing Cup 3 regatta in Lucerne Switzerland.
Vincent Saurin was a French rower who specialised in single sculls. In this event he won nine national titles and three medals at the European championships of 1931–1934. He competed at the 1928 Summer Olympics, but failed to reach the final. Later he changed to coxless fours and won medals at French championships in 1939 and 1943. Between 1952 and 1988 he served as president of Société Nautique De Lagny Aviron.

The 1924 European Rowing Championships were rowing championships held on Lake Zürich in the Swiss city of Zürich. The competition was for men only and they competed in six of the seven Olympic boat classes as they had been rowed earlier in the summer at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris; the new Olympic boat class of coxless four (M4-) was also part of the European Rowing Championships, but the only competitor would be Switzerland and they didn't want to win the European championship by row-over. It was the first time that the coxless pair boat class was part of the regatta.

Dolores Robina Mary Young is a Canadian rower. She competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics and the 1984 Summer Olympics. In 1976, her team finished in 7th place in the Coxed Four women's event, and her team in 1984 finished 7th in the Coxed Quadruple Sculls women's event. Her competition in the 1976 games earned her a spot on the Canadian Rowing Hall of Fame in 2019.
