Aurel Schmidt (born 1982) is a Canadian artist who lives and works in New York. [1] [2]

Work

Schmidt is primarily known for her drawings, [1] but has also done work involving sculpture, [3] assemblage and installation. [4] She was included in the 2010 Whitney Biennial, [5] [6] and her work is included in the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art. [2]

Nicole Eisenman is an American artist who is known primarily for her paintings. Eisenman was a professor at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson from 2003 to 2009. She has been awarded the Guggenheim fellowship (1996), the Carnegie Prize (2013), and has thrice been included in the Whitney Biennial. On September 29, 2015, she won the MacArthur "Genius Grant" award for "restoring the representation of the human form a cultural significance that had waned during the ascendancy of abstraction in the 20th century". Eisenman currently lives and works in Brooklyn.

Loretta Hines Howard was an American artist and collector. Howard was a collector of Neapolitan crèche figures from the 18th-century. In 1957, Howard began what would become a forty-year tradition of decorating the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Christmas tree with items from her créche collection, integrating the Roman Catholic practice of creating nativity scenes with the European protestant tradition of tree decoration. In the early 1960s, she donated her collection to the museum.
