Terry Lim was a lifetime achievement award recipient for running martial arts tournaments 3 times per year for the last 3 decades, and over 3,000 students having trained at his academy. Lim demonstrated his abilities during the induction ceremony in Adelaide by bending a two-meter metal rod with his throat, then he was struck with a sledge hammer breaking three concrete roof tiles on his back.[ citation needed ]

The Merrett–Murray Medal has been awarded annually since 1997, to the player adjudged the Brisbane Lions club champion over the immediately preceding Australian Football League (AFL) season. It is named after Roger Merrett and Kevin Murray. Merrett was a champion at the Brisbane Bears, while Murray was a legend at the Fitzroy Lions, the two clubs which merged to form the Brisbane Lions. The voting system, as of the 2017 AFL season, consists of the senior coach and assistant coaches scoring players based on their overall performance, influence on the game, team contribution and compliance with team values. The most votes a player can receive in a single game is twelve.
William Cheung or Cheung Cheuk-hing is a Hong Kong Wing Chun kung fu practitioner and currently the Grandmaster of his lineage of Wing Chun, entitled Traditional Wing Chun (TWC). He also heads the sanctioning body of TWC, the Global Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu Association (GTWCKFA). He is the recipient of a Masters Award for lifetime achievement in Kung Fu from Martial Arts Australia.
Rhee Taekwon-Do, also known as Rhee Tae Kwon-Do, Rhee Tae Kwon Do, or Rhee Taekwondo, is a martial art school in Australia teaching the Korean martial art of taekwondo. Its full name is "Rhee International Taekwon-Do (Australia)". Chong Chul Rhee, one of the original masters of taekwondo, founded the school in the mid-1960s. Two of Rhee's brothers, Chong Hyup Rhee and Chong Yoon Rhee, later came to assist him in the 1970s.
The John Cahill Medal, named after the Port Adelaide Football Club's ten time premiership coach and inaugural AFL coach John Cahill, is awarded to the club player adjudged best and fairest for the season. The voting system as of the 2017 AFL season, consists of each member of the coaching committee giving each player a ranking from zero to five after each match.
The Syd Barker Medal is awarded to the North Melbourne Football Club player who has been judged the best and fairest of the footy season. The award has been given out continuously since 1937. Before then it was known as the Syd Barker Memorial Trophy.

Terry Lim is an Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee, Martial Arts Australia Martial Artist of the year Masters Awards recipient and renowned martial artist who has had a short documentary made about him titled It's him... Terry Lim by Angus Sampson. He is Founder of the Loong Fu Pai Martial Arts Academy in 1981, with over 350 active students. Loong Fu Pai is one of the most successful martial arts schools in Melbourne founded by one person, grading over 60 black belts. He began running inter-club martial arts tournaments in 1985, and since then these tournaments have run 3 times each year. His Branches total 19 making it one of the largest independent Academies in the one state.
The American Martial Arts Alliance is a non-profit foundation responsible for holding the annual AMAA Who's Who in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Jessie Bowen, Executive Director of the Foundation, has published books about the inductees of the award and dedicated two volumes of the publication to Chuck Norris for a lifetime of achievements.
