Avery is an extinct town in eastern Crawford County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] The townsite lies above Avery Hollow about two miles west of Onondaga Cave State Park. Missouri Route MM is adjacent to the site and the Avery cemetery lies between route MM and Avery Hollow. [2] [3]
A post office called Avery was established in 1853, and remained in operation until 1865. [4] The community most likely took its name from Avery Valley, which has the name of a local family. [5]
Graff is an unincorporated community in eastern Wright County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Missouri Route 38, 12.5 miles (20.1 km) east-northeast of Hartville. The community consists of a veterinary clinic and a post office, plus less than a half dozen houses.

The community lies on Missouri Route 185 between Lyon to the southwest and Dundee to the northeast. Campbellton School is approximately 1.5 miles northeast on Route 185. Boeuf Creek drains the area to the north and the small stream, Slaughter Branch, flows past the village to the south.
