Sayyid Baba Azmi is an Indian film cinematographer and member of the Akhtar-Azmi film family. [1] He is son of the poet and lyricist Kaifi Azmi and brother of Shabana Azmi. He is known for his work in films such as Arjun, Beta, Dil , Tezaab , Mr. India , Akele Hum Akele Tum and Pukar . [2]

He started his career in mid 1970s, assisting Ishan Arya his first cousin, in Telugu films, starting as light boy. He worked with Arya for a few Telugu films, before he got an independent break. [3] In 2020, he made his directorial debut with the film Mee Raqsam starring Naseeruddin Shah. It was released on 21 August on Zee5. [4] [5]

Ishqiya (transl. Passionate) is a 2010 Indian black comedy film starring Naseeruddin Shah, Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi and Salman Shahid in the lead roles. It was directed by Abhishek Chaubey in his directorial debut, cinematography by Mohana Krishna, and was produced by Raman Maroo and Vishal Bhardwaj. The film was released on 29 January 2010.

Ishan Arya was an Indian cinematographer, and producer, best known as producer and cinematographer of Art cinema classic Garm Hava (1973). After working in theatre and advertising, he made his debut with Garm Hava directed by M. S. Sathyu. After that he worked largely in South Indian cinema, especially Telugu, though he work on two noted Hindi art films, Bazaar (1982) directed by Sagar Sarhadi and Anjuman (1986) directed by Muzaffar Ali. At the 23rd National Film Awards, he won the Best Cinematography Award for Telugu film, Mutyala Muggu (1975).

Size Zero is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by Prakash Kovelamudi. The film was simultaneously shot in Tamil and released as Inji Iduppazhagi. Produced by Prasad V Potluri, the film features Anushka Shetty in the lead role while Arya, Prakash Raj, Urvashi and Sonal Chauhan play supporting roles. <i>Mee Raqsam</i> 2020 Hindi drama film

Mee Raqsam is an Indian Hindi-language drama film produced and directed by Baba Azmi. Written by Safdar Mir and Husain Mir, the film tells the story of a young Muslim girl who wants to become a dancer. It stars Naseeruddin Shah, Aditi Subedi, Danish Husain, Shraddha Kaul and Rakesh Chaturvedi Om in lead roles. Mee Raqsam was released on ZEE5 on 21 August 2020.
