Cwmann is a small village in Carmarthenshire, Wales, in the community of Pencarreg. It is just on the border with Ceredigion and near Lampeter, with Cwmann being on the Carmarthenshire side of the border. The population in 2011 was around 872. As of 2021, the population was approximately 972.

Carmarthenshire County Council is the local authority for the county of Carmarthenshire, Wales. It provides a range of services including education, planning, transport, social services and public safety. The council is one of twenty-two unitary authorities that came into existence on 1 April 1996 under the provisions of the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994. It took over local government functions previously provided by the three district councils of Carmarthen, Dinefwr, and Llanelli, as well as the county-level services in the area from Dyfed County Council, all of which councils were abolished at the same time.
The A4138 is a main road in Carmarthenshire, Wales, connecting Pontarddulais with Llanelli. Running in a northeast to southwest direction, the road connects with M4 junction 48. Champion was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In a career that lasted from May 1800 to May 1802 he ran nine times and won five races. In the summer of 1800 he proved himself one of the best British colts of his generation, winning The Derby on his racecourse debut. Later that year he became the first Derby winner to win the St Leger, a feat which was not equalled until 1848. He was retired from racing after being injured on his only start as a five-year-old in 1802.

Coygan Cave was an ossiferous cave near Laugharne in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The cave was about a mile from the sea and located in a limestone hillside, but has been destroyed by quarrying.
