Babil Khan (born 15 May 1998) [1] is an Indian actor. A son of actor Irrfan Khan, he began his career as a camera assistant, before making his acting debut in Bollywood with Qala (2022). [2] He has since starred in the miniseries The Railway Men (2023).

Early life and education

Babil Khan was born on 15 May 1998, [3] in Mumbai to actor Irrfan Khan and writer Sutapa Sikdar. [4] [5] He has a younger brother, Ayaan Khan. [6]

Khan completed his schooling at Tridha School, Mumbai and studied further at the University of Westminster, London. [7]

Career

After completing his studies, he started as a camera assistant in Bollywood film Qarib Qarib Single. [8]

In 2022, he made his acting debut with Anvita Dutt's psychological drama Qala alongside Tripti Dimri. [9] He was critically acclaimed for his performance. [10]

In 2023, he was seen playing Juhi Chawla's son Siddharth Menon in a Netflix original film Friday Night Plan . [11] He next starred in YRF's web series The Railway Men , a story on Bhopal Gas Tragedy, alongside Divyendu Sharma, Kay Kay Menon and R. Madhavan in pivotal roles. [12] [13]

He will also star in Shoojit Sircar's The Umesh Chronicles with Amitabh Bachchan. [14] [15]

Feluda is an Indian-Bengali detective media franchise created by Indian-Bengali film director and writer Satyajit Ray, featuring the character, Feluda. Piku is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language comedy drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by N. P. Singh, Ronnie Lahiri and Sneha Rajani. The song was made in collaboration with Ayushmann Khurrana, the lead of the film.
