Bagbo Chiefdom is a chiefdom in Bo District of Sierra Leone. [1] [2] Its capital is Jimmi.

Bagbo Chiefdom is in the Bo District Southern Region, Sierra Leone, West Africa. Jimmi town is the Chiefdom Headquarter town, It is 37 km from Bo City and is an important Town that Host a Government Bordering Secondary School. Jimmi is the headquarter town of Bagbo that has a Government Secondary School for Boys and the Only Girls School within the Chiefdom where children from all over the country attend in a bordering home system. The girls School is also operated on a bordering home system Jimmi Town has once be used as for internally displace persons and refugees from Liberia.. Because of it strategic position and the only town with these facilities, people from other chiefdoms and district send their kids there to learn.

Bagbo Chiefdom constitute one of the strategic Chiefdom in the Southern Region situated between Four (4) chiefdoms, the Malen Chiefdom in the Pujehun District, the Lugbu Chiefdoms Bo District, the Tikonko Chiefdom Bo District and Kpanga Kemo Chiefdom in Bonthe. The Chiefdom mainly consists of a pastoralist population of approximately 25,884 that lives in a land mass of 276 square kilometers. The Gender base is 49.46% Male and 50.54% Female. The surrounded chiefdoms with the total population over 100,000. Being children from 1-14 and young people aged from 15 to 35 years. Adults from 36 to 55.

The main economics activities are of the people living in the chiefdom is farming, Gari and palm oil processing. Unfortunately, most of the youths have taken up bike riding and forgone the Agricultural work which has led to additional Poverty in the chiefdom. Many other youths have gone to Malen Chiefdom in search of job at the Oil palm plantation by Sucfin Industry

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Education in Sierra Leone</span>

Education in Sierra Leone is legally required for all children for six years at primary level and three years in junior secondary education, but a shortage of schools and teachers has made implementation impossible. The Sierra Leone Civil War resulted in the destruction of 1,270 primary schools and in 2001 67 percent of all school-age children were out of school. The situation has improved considerably since then with primary school enrollment doubling between 2001 and 2005 and the reconstruction of many schools since the end of the war. However, there is still a long ways to go. In 2004, Junior secondary school enrollment was only 17% of primary school enrollment, and senior secondary school enrollment was only 8% of primary school education.

Mattru Jong commonly known as Mattru is the capital of Bonthe District in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone. Mattru Jung is located on the mainland of Bonthe District, along the Jong River, 52 miles southwest of Bo. The town is the seat of Mongerewa Jong Chiefdom, and is the home of Mongerewa Jong Paramount Chief Alie Badara Sheriff III. The town's current estimated population is about 20,000 people. In 2010 it was 8,199, and in the 2004 census the town had a population of 7,647.

Malen Chiefdom is a chiefdom in Pujehun District of Sierra Leone under supervision of Chief B.V.S. Kebby (Kebbie) with a population of 22,090. Its principal town is Sahn. The chiefdom is located west of the town of Pujehun. The primary economic activity is subsistence farming. The largest employer is Socfin, a palm oil producer. Malaria is endemic in the chiefdom with an estimated infection rate of 40% (∓5%).

Blama is a town and the seat of Small Bo Chiefdom, Kenema District in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. Blama is located on the highway from Bo to Kenema, the largest city in Kenema District and the Eastern Province overall. Blama lies approximately twelve miles to Kenema, and about 170 miles south-east of Freetown.

The neighbour chiefdoms of Niawa Lenga are: Valunia (north), Komboya (northeast), Bagbwe (east), Kakua (south) and Selenga (west).
