Bahi District is one of the seven districts of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. Bahi District is bordered to the north by Chemba District, to the east by Dodoma District and Chamwino District, and to the west by Singida Region. Its administrative seat is the town of Bahi.

Transport

Paved trunk road T3 from Morogoro to the Rwandan border passes through the district.^[3]

The central railway of Tanzania passes through Bahi District as well and there is a train station in Bahi town.^[4] The new Standard Gauge Railway has a station at Bahi under construction in early 2023.^[5]

Administrative subdivisions

Administratively, the district is divided into four divisions namely, Mundemu, Chipanga, Bahi and Mwitikira.

As of 2017, Bahi District is further divided into 22 wards.^[6]^[7]

Kongwa District is one of the seven districts of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by Manyara Region, to the east by Morogoro Region, to the south by Mpwapwa District, and to the west by Chamwino District. Its district capital is the town of Kongwa.

Hanang District is one of the six districts of the Manyara Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by the Mbulu District and Babati Rural District, to the southeast by the Dodoma Region and to the southwest by the Singida Region. Mount Hanang is located within the boundaries of the district.

Ikungi District is one of the six districts of the Singida Region of Tanzania. It is one of the 20 new districts that were formed in Tanzania since 2010; it was split off from Singida Rural District. Ikungi District is bordered to the north by Iramba District, Singida Urban District and Singida Rural District, to the east by Manyara Region, to the south by Manyoni District and to the west by Tabora Region. Its administrative seat is the town of Ikungi.

Manyoni District is one of the six districts in the Singida Region of Tanzania. The district capital is the town of Manyoni. The district is bordered to the north by the Ikungi District, to the east by the Dodoma Region, to the south by the Iringa Region, to the southwest by the Mbeya Region and to the west by the Tabora Region. In 2015 the Itigi District was created from the Manyoni District, separating the Itigi Division that was the large portion of the south western of the district.

Makutupora is an administrative ward in the Dodoma Urban district of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. In 2016 the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report there were 15,683 people in the ward, from 14,430 in 2012.

Bahi is town and an administrative ward in the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. It is the district capital of Bahi District.

Chipanga is an administrative ward in the Bahi District of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. In 2016 the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report there were 10,492 people in the ward, from 9,654 in 2012.

Mwitikira is an administrative ward in the Bahi District of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. In 2016 the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report there were 7,863 people in the ward, from 7,235 in 2012.

Mpwapwa District is one of the seven districts of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by Kongwa District, to the east by Morogoro Region, to the south by Iringa Region, and to the west by Chamwino District. Its district capital is the town of Mpwapwa.

Singida is a city in central Tanzania. The city is the location of the regional headquarters of Singida Region as well as the district headquarters of Singida Urban District. The region and district are named after the city.

Bukoba Urban District is one of the eight districts of the Kagera Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to east by Lake Victoria and to the west by Bukoba Rural District. Its administrative seat is the town of Bukoba.

Chamwino District is one of the seven districts of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. Mtwara Mikindani Municipal District Council is one of eight regional councils of the Mtwara Region in Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by the Lindi Region, to the east by the Indian Ocean and to the south and west by the Mtwara District. In 2016, the municipality has a total population of 113,732.

Itigi District is a district council in the Singida Region of central Tanzania established in 2015. The district lies in the south-western portion of the Singida Region with 279,069 people and encompasses a large area mostly made up of protected game reserves.

Msalala District is a district council in the Shinyanga Region of Tanzania's lake zone established in 2012. The district lies in the middle of the region just north-east of the town of Kahama.
