Gjilan or Gnjilane(Гњилане) is the sixth most populous city in Kosovo and it serves as both a municipality and the administrative center of the Gjilan District. The municipality has a population of 90,178 with approximately 54,239 inhabitants residing in the urban area. It is located in the east of Kosovo, in the region of Gornja Moravaand is well connected with the capital city of Kosovo, Priština, as well as other surrounding cities such as Uroševac, Kosovska Kamenica, Preševo, Bujanovac and Vitina.
The Football Superleague of Kosovo, also known as the ALBI MALL Superleague of Kosovo for sponsorship reasons with Albi Mall, is the top level of the Kosovar football league system. The Superleague is organized by the Football Federation of Kosovo and the division currently has a 10-team format. The clubs play each other four times during the season for a 36-match schedule. The stadium was completed in 1967 but since 2017 is in Re-Construction project. The stadium holds less than 15,000 people.
Desivojca is a village in the municipality of Kamenica, in the east of Kosovo. It has 16.41 km2 (6.34 sq mi) of land, 89 houses with 755 inhabitants. It is about 50 km (31 mi) from Gjilan. The village has a primary school called "Kadri Zeka" and a mosque built in 1816. It is a center for surrounding villages.

It stretches eastward to the Preševo Valley in southern Serbia. The mountains in this region, rising to an altitude of 1,000–1,200 metres (3,300–3,900 ft), border the Skopska Crna Gora region in north of Skopje. Gjilan, Kamenica, Novo Brdo and Viti are municipalities located in the region. The region gave its name to Kosovo-Pomoravlje District, which largely corresponds to its successor District of Gjilan in Kosovo. It is known for recording the lowest temperature in Kosovo: −32.5 °C (−26.5 °F), on 25 January 1963.
