Ballisodare is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village and hinterland of Ballisodare in County Sligo, Republic of Ireland. It had existed successfully for many years before joining with the neighbouring Collooney club, initially as Collooney/Ballisodare and later Owenmore Gaels, before being revived in 1997.

The Connacht Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition for the senior county teams of Connacht GAA. All of the counties of Connacht participate in the championship, as well as counties London and New York. The winning team receives the Nestor Cup.

This is a round-up of the 1963 Sligo Senior Football Championship. Ballisodare, having linked up with neighbours St. Patrick's, claimed a fourth successive title in 1963, following a replay win over Craobh Rua in the final.

This is a round-up of the 1964 Sligo Senior Football Championship. The holders and four-in-a-row champions Ballisodare/St. Patrick's, dubbed as the "Pride of the West", were dethroned after a semi-final replay, with Keash the victors. They in turn fell to Curry in the final, thus ending a 42-year wait for the South Sligo club's third title.

This was the seventh title won by the parish in the 1960s, but this was also to be the last such triumph to date.

Tubbercurry is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Tubbercurry, County Sligo; the club was formed in 1888. They have won 20 Sligo Senior Football Championships and 14 Sligo Senior Hurling Championships. They have also won 9 Sligo Senior Football League titles. At underage they have won 10 Sligo Minor Football Championships and 7 Sligo Under 20 Football Championships. One of the greatest hurlers in Sligo history, Paul Seevers played with the club for a number of years winning many medals with both the Gaelic football and Hurling teams. The club combines with Cloonacool at underage level.

Owenmore Gaels is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based within the parish of Collooney and Kilvarnet (Ballinacarrow) in County Sligo, Republic of Ireland. Its origins date back to the formation of the GAA in Sligo in 1885, when the Collooney Fontenoys club was formed. It went under a number of names, including Collooney Harps and Collooney/Ballisodare, before the current name was adopted in 1976.

Easkey is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in west County Sligo, including the principal village of Easkey and hinterlands of Rathlee, Killeenduff and Owenbeg. The club was founded in 1888.

The Owenmore River is a river in County Sligo, Ireland. Its source is in the far south of Sligo, near Gorteen and Lough Gara, from which it runs for 52.3 km to its juncture with the Unshin River near Collooney to form the Ballisodare River. Its catchment covers 655 square kilometres (253 sq mi), predominantly located in Sligo but with small parts in County Mayo and County Roscommon. The catchment is underlain by limestone, and the total length of all the rivers in the Greater Owenmore Basin Area is 639 kilometres (397 mi). There are approximately 1,470 hectares (5.7 sq mi) of lakes in the catchment, with Lough Arrow comprising most of this.

The 2019 Sligo Senior Football Championship is the 114th edition of the Sligo GAA's premier club Gaelic football tournament for senior graded teams in County Sligo, Ireland. The tournament consists of 10 teams, with the winner going on to represent Sligo in the Connacht Senior Club Football Championship. The championship starts with a group stage and then progresses to a knock out stage.

Connolly Park is a GAA stadium in Collooney, County Sligo, Ireland. It is the home ground of the Owenmore Gaels GAA club.
