Bangladesh competed at the 2008 Asian Beach Games held in Bali, Indonesia from October 18, 2008, to October 26, 2008. Bangladesh finished with 1 bronze medal.
Bangladesh, officially the People's Republic of Bangladesh, is a country in South Asia. The Bangladesh men's national cricket team, popularly known as The Tigers, is administered by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). It is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test, One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) status. It played its first Test match in November 2000 against India in Dhaka, becoming the tenth Test-playing nation.
Shakib Al Hasan, also known as Saqibul Hasan, is a Bangladeshi international cricketer. Shakib is considered to be one of the greatest all-rounders of all time. He was ranked as one of the world's most famous athletes by ESPN World Fame 100 in 2019. His aggressive left-handed batting style in the middle order, controlled slow left-arm orthodox bowling has made him a consistent player for Bangladesh. Shakib is the highest wicket taker for Bangladesh in all international formats. In August 2021, he became the first cricketer to have the double of 100 wickets and 1,000 runs in T20Is history. He is now the only player in the world, who have the double of 100 wickets and 1000 runs feat, in all three formats of men's cricket.
The Rajshahi Division cricket team is a Bangladeshi first-class team representing the Rajshahi Division, one of the country's seven administrative regions. The team competes in the National Cricket League and was formerly a participant in the now-defunct National Cricket League One-Day. In the short-lived National Cricket League Twenty20 competition, played in the 2009–10 season only, Rajshahi adopted the name Rajshahi Rangers and played in their official grey, black, and red colours. The equivalent team in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is the Rajshahi Kings.
